The patagotitan mayorum, announced in 2014, was just officially named by José Carballido, Diego Pol and colleagues. Partial skeletons of multiple such animals (in "remarkable condition") were uncovered by a farmer in 2011.
Weighing in at approximately 76 tons, comparable to a space shuttle, the dinosaur's diet is completely herbivorous.
