This is a photo of Messier object 13, also known as NGC - no not the berniesanders (or should I tag him?) but New General Catalogue 6205 also referred as Great Globular Cluster in Hercules. It was discovered by Edmond Halley in 1714.
However these globular clusters play a significant role in the understanding of our universe, both statistically and probing the theories, BUT THEY ARE BORING AS HELL. Apart from hosting an enormous number of galaxies, there are 300 000 in m13, there is not much happening in them.
Anyways, hope you like these images. More are coming from various other instruments. ;)
