Cool your beer in half the time with these tips

Do you know how to cool your beer in less than 10 minutes?

When the heat gets hot, it is very easy to run out of cold beers, here we tell you how to cool your beers very quickly.

Make a note so you can use these tricks at your next party at home, on the beach or at your next barbecue.

Some of the forms I bring are very effective, you can cool a bottle in a few minutes and there are methods to cool more bottles in a short time.

1: Ice and salt water.

This is the scientific way to put beer on ice and water. If instead of putting only ice, we add water and salt, salt lowers the temperature at which water and ice mix, this makes the ice melt. Bringing the water to a lower temperature, quickly transmitting that drop in temperature to the beer that will be perfect for drinking in about 15 minutes.

If you want to make this process faster, you can do it by inserting in the freezer the bucket with water, salt, ice and beer and it will be a little faster. You can also rotate everything inside the bucket by stirring with a stick to lower the temperature faster. This way we can reduce the time needed for cooling to 10 minutes.

2. Napkins or kitchen paper

The usual thing when there is no cold beer is to run it into the fridge or if we are in a hurry, to put the bottles directly into the freezer. In the following video, three bottles of beer are cooled using three different methods:

a) Put the hot beer bottle in the refrigerator.

b) Put the beer in the freezer.

c) Wrap the bottle with paper or kitchen rolls, dipping the paper in water and then put the bottle already wrapped in the freezer.

The third bottle drops from 22 to 15ºC in just 15 minutes. A very effective method that I recommend using the next time you want to have a cold beer.

3. Sprays have many uses

You may have ever seen sprays used to quickly cool some products. I remember a video of someone cooling a cake on a semi-frozen plate using this same method. It consists of turning upside down the compressed air sprays that are often used to "blow" into cameras and lenses, or to clean computers or keyboards.

Turning them upside down does not produce their contents, but the propellant pressurized gas at a temperature below zero. The beer bottles are immediately cooled with a jet of gas and can be frozen in minutes. Watch this simple method in the video.

The trick is to move the spray quickly so as not to freeze a single part of the bottle, but by moving it you can cool down the side of the bottles, moving them as you put together a thin layer of ice on the outside. So we can cool a bottle in less than two minutes, being the fastest method although it is only effective for small quantities to cool, (as much as two or three bottles).
