The Principles of Quantum Computing

Quantum computers operate on fundamentally different principles than traditional computers. They directly use quantum-mechanical phenomena, like superposition and entanglement, for working on data. Several companies, including IBM, Google, Alibaba, Microsoft, etc., are currently working on quantum computers.

This video explains the basic principles of quantum computing and discusses the status quo of this technology. Since quantum computers operate in a very cold temperature, near absolute zero, it is unlikely that they will be available for home use any time soon, but they will more probably be confined to use in data centers. However, the video predicts that in 10 years, we may be talking to personal assistants that use a centralized quantum computer.
