ESO 510-G13 is a spiral galaxy located in the constellation of Idra, which is 150 million light years from the Milky Way.
The equatorial gas band that is the galactic plane is heavily distorted, apparently due to tidal forces in the past with another galaxy, and so it is, ESO 510-G13 would be a perfect example of what distortions are caused by interacting galaxies
