It's time to look up and photograph the clouds

NASA needs our help!! How so!?

To understand the different types of clouds, NASA needs data from our vantage point-right here on Earth. We only have to install an application, take some photos of the clouds and...submit.
(ok, there are a few more steps, but don't get discouraged)

As you may have heard, NASA has satellites orbiting the Earth that collects data about clouds and the Earth’s energy.

Now NASA invites us to submit ground cloud observations in order to compare/ validate with the satellite's data!
The purpose is to combine those images that only show the top of the clouds with our photos from the bottom.

This is possible due to the collaboration of NASA with the GLOBE Program, which has an updated Cloud Protocol. All the information about this project is available at NASA's Cloud Satellite Portal.

If you are or want to become a science educator or citizen scientist, then this project is perfect for you!!

I discovered this project recently and I find it pretty amazing! There's more, anyone can explore submitted data on GLOBE Visualization System.

Have fun with it!!

P.S. - If any of my followers wonder where are my regular posts, like #SundayCook and other week challenges....well, let me say it's been difficult to manage time for it in the past weeks. SundayCook will have three more recipes as soon as possible, and that's all I can say for now.
