We have been using hexagon pencils since our childhood.. but now a days a new shape of triangular cross section pencil have come in the market…
I thought of sharing this on quora (addicted to it now). This new shape is known as Reuleaux triangle.
It does pure rolling motion like circular object… so the old sharpener is able to sharp the new shaped pencil with ease..
Due to the decrease in the cross section area, it is using lesser wood than hexagonal pencils.
More than 14 billion pencils are used worldwide per year… think about how many trees will be saved due to this new shape…
