Introduction

The holy book of the Qur'an is one of the books revealed by Allah SWT to man as a guide of life. And its purity and truth has been proved scientifically. One of the letters of Al-Quran that provides research opportunities is Al-'Alaq surah. The Qur'an commands us to research and observe this universe including outer space. This is understood from the first revelation "Read by the name of your Lord Who created".

اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ

literally the word "اقرأ" means 'reading' by using sentence 'amar' (command sentence). From the word indicates that that we are commanded to read, observe and research all material in the universe, including outer space (space). "Space is the void that exists between celestial bodies".[1]

While about the outer space (space) in the Qur'an can be understood from many al-qur'an mentioning the sky. The sky wich colorned the blue looks like a roof or umbrella that covers the earth.

In this post will quote some verses of al-quran that tell about celestial bodies and the verses are in different surahs.

The Verses of The Qur'an About The Sky (celestial bodies)

Q.S Al-Buruuj

وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ

Meaning it : "For the sake of the heavens that have cluster of stars," [Q.S Al-Buruuj : 1]

Q.S Al-An'am : 97

وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ النُّجُومَ لِتَهْتَدُوا بِهَا فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ ۗ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ

Meaning it : "It is He Who made the stars for you, that you may make it a clue in the darkness on land and in the sea. Verily We have explained the signs of our greatness to those who know".[Q.S Al-An'am : 97]

Q.S Al-Hijr : 16

وَلَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا فِي السَّمَاءِ بُرُوجًا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا لِلنَّاظِرِينَ

Meaning it : "And indeed We have created a cluster of stars (in the heavens) and We have adorned the sky for those who saw (it)" [Q.S Al-Hijr : 16]

QS. Al Furqaan: 61

تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي السَّمَاءِ بُرُوجًا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَاجًا وَقَمَرًا مُنِيرًا

Meaning it : "Glory be to Allah who has made in the heavens, the clusters of stars and He made also in it (the heavens) the luminous sun and moon". [QS. Al Furqaan: 61]

QS. Al Annisaa': 78

أَيْنَمَا تَكُونُوا يُدْرِكْكُمُ الْمَوْتُ وَلَوْ كُنْتُمْ فِي بُرُوجٍ مُشَيَّدَةٍ ۗ وَإِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ حَسَنَةٌ يَقُولُوا هَٰذِهِ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ ۖ وَإِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَقُولُوا هَٰذِهِ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ ۚ قُلْ كُلٌّ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ ۖ فَمَالِ هَٰؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمِ لَا يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ حَدِيثًا

Meaning it : "Wherever you are, death will find you, even if you are in a strong fortress again, and if they gain goodness, they say: "This is from Allah's side," and if they are struck by a disaster they say: coming from your side (Muhammad) ". Say: "Everything (comes) from Allah's side". So why do these people (hypocrites) barely understand a single conversation" [QS. Al Annisaa': 78]

How is the interpretation of the word al-buruj?

In simply, that the oath of official declaration which is accompanied by a name or one of the nature of God in order to justify or corroborate the law. But this kind of oath only aims to bind selves to do or leave something that violates the oath. One of the purposes of God's oath in the Qur'an is to dispel doubts, wipe out shubhat, strengthen the truth and sharpen the Qur'anic argument about what the Qur'an says.

Therefore, in the Qur'an Allah swears upon His great creation no more than 40 times, among which 20 times God swears by an outer space, such as sky, moon, sun, stars, clusters and other objects which are in space that can be detected by advanced or even those not detected by advanced telescopes in the present era . one of which is as in sura al-buruj verse 1 (وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ).

In the first verse of surah al-buruj (وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ) there isn't the ataf letter meaning' and' but here is wau qasam (the oath). Why? because it is can not intended with wau 'athaf because the word' as-sama-i is majrul (kasrah). In the study of science nahu, wau qasam works as jar (become majrul word afterwards). from this it can be understood that God swears by the sky which has a cluster of stars.

However, verses I quoted above in the perspective of the physics and astronomy can be uses as concepts and theories to observe and research about the universe and heavenly bodies including other universe materials such as dark matter which the existence is unknown.

The star is a celestial body that emits light. in the sense, the star can be said as a source of light that illuminates the earth at night. Without the stars the earth will be dark. According to astronomical scientists, the mass of stars is between 0.08 and 200 solar masses.

The Holy Qur'an has more first talked about outer space and celestial bodies like galaxies and stars than modern scientists. Today's modern diera, observing and researching outer space object is not thing diffcult for scientists. because the many technologies already exist. with this advanced technology they can observe everything that exists in this nature including outer space matter.

If in scientific discovery that the sun and stars and other space matter has masse. it is very relevant to the Qur'an as in the Surah of Al-Rahman.

الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ
Meaning it : "Sun and moon (circulating) according to calculations". [Q.S Ar-Rahman: 5]

This verse as evidence that the sun and the moon are circulating in accordance with the mechanism and measured in terms of distance, volume and temperature. if the size of the sun is greater or less than its distance and masse, then we will all burn or freeze. What a perfect creation Allah Almighty. From the word of بِحُسْبَانٍ indicates that the sun and the moon have masse.

Referring to the verse it can be said that the sun and moon circulate with the accuracy of calculations and never apply chaos. Generally, the star is referring to a space object that produces its own light. thus the sun is also a star because the sun is the object of outer space that is the source of the solar system.

Recently, it was reported that scientists failed to detect the presence of dark matter. dark matter in the field of modern science and astronomy studies is now assumed to be the most mysterious nature material.

Before the 20th century no scientist assumed that in the sky there were some horrible-looking stars, much less the star was not visible. The most phenomenal discovery in this 20th century in the field of astronomy is the Black Hole. A black hole is a region or part of time space exhibiting such strong gravitational effect even the light can not escape from inside it.[source]

A super strong force of gravity whose speed is near the speed of light is able to suck up apappun so that no one can get away from it, except through the behavior of quantum tunnels. electromagnetic radiation can not escape its gravity, whereas light can only enter but can not get out or pass through it, from here obtained the word "black". The term "black hole".

Black Hole Types

Regarding the black hole until now, there is no scientist who can confirm the existence of a hole, but from various studies and observations made by many scientists only with the calculation of the mathematis. so far Black Hole grouped by scientists into 3 types, namely: Black Hole, Stellar Black Hole, and Miniature Black Hole.

Supermassive
the feature of the Black hole is characterized by the size and strength of gravity that is deeply situated in the area around the center of the Galaxy.
Stellar Black Hole
This black hole was formed by the death of a supernova star
Miniature Black Hole
Black hole that is smaller than Stellar type. until now this hole has not been invented by scientists, but this is only a scientific assumption that this type of black hole exists after the big bang event.

In that matter if we look to the Qur'an, precisely in surah At-Takwir explained:

إِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ
Meaning it : "when the sun is rolled up", [Q.S At-Takwir : 1]

وَإِذَا النُّجُومُ انْكَدَرَتْ
Meaning it : "and when the stars fall",[Q.S At-Takwir : 2]

In general this verse describes the events of apocalypse, but this is the closest related to the field of astronomy. The word kuwirat is defined as 'roll' can be meant by missing, crushed or ending. Ending is dead. when the sun is off then the light source also goes out. the extinction of the light source then appears dark. according to this verse a dark hole or dark matter caused by the outage of the solar system. But, if 'roll' is meant to be "hidden", then it can be understood that the incident is dim. This, if it is meant on the sun means eclipse. It can thus be assumed that the black hole is formed as a result of the dimming of the stars or the loss of light from the sun.

A scientist named Neil deGrasse Tyson, director of New York's Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History said: "It would be a bad day for the solar system if we got visited by a black hole." [abcnews]

The scientis statement, if it refers to the above verse, then the bad thing that will happen is doomsday. This makes more sense, why the mass of the universe called the term dark matter or black holes can not be detected existence, even the hypotheses of scientists if dark matter is known to exist then it will be known something very important of this universe. What is so important that?

If we refer to the surah of At-takwir, then something until the day is not known. because that is an apocalypse. Doomsday events no man knows but god.

Conclusion

Based on description above, it can be concluded that Al-qur'an also explains about the black hole or dark matter. verses 1 and 2 of the At-Takwir letter are more likely to mean the dark matter or the black hole is the apocalypse. if true is the essence of true, then this is in accordance with the bad things that the scientists mean if the earth is visited by a black hole. even if analogized there will be findings between the dark matter or doomsday characters. first the dark matter is invisible, the apocalypse is also invisible (do not know when), both, forces of gravity of the black hole or dark matter are very strong, so no can escape its from, then apocalypse also so.

But the truth of all this we submit to the god.
