NASA // 🚀ROVER OPPORTUNITY HAS ALREADY OVER 5,000 DAYS ON MARS AND THOUGHT IT WAS ONLY GOING TO LAST 90🚀

Hello friends of this great community, this time I'm going to talk a little about one of the very interesting creations that NASA had since it is a robot that has left a lot to talk about due to the research and the time it has lasted in space, this robot is called rover Opportunity that was created to be able to investigate and show images about very surprising things found on the planet Mars.

The robot named róver landed on the red planet in 2004 and has managed to drive more than 45 kilometers, even though experts at NASA predicted that it could survive only 90 days.

The Opportunity robot managed to reach Mars on the 25th of January in the year 2004, with a plan that should last active only 90 Martian suns, but due to the difficult conditions that the Martian winter was going through and the consequences that the NASA, it was expected that the robot opportunity would have. But nevertheless, it has been able to demonstrate to be quite resistant and to the moment that it managed to write these lines already it has active 5,002 soles Martian, which is translated in 5,139 Earth days.

Rover Opportunity was launched in 2003 this along with its twin Spirit and both managed to land on the planet Mars with weeks apart. On the 25th of the month of January of that same year it came to be considered the first day for the rover Opportunity on the planet Mars or, rather, the "Sun 1". This term tends to be used to count the solar days on the planet Mars, by which they are calculated from the rotation of the planet on its axis, and tends to last 40 minutes more than a day on the planet Earth.

So far the one who is already considered a veteran called rover has had quite extensive travel with more than 45 kilometers from the surface of Mars and has been able to send more than 225,000 images to Earth. NASA experts say they can continue to use Opportunity as long as they can, while he can continue making new discoveries on the red planet.

'The robot rover after having passed the mission of 90 soles still continues to surprise us with many things on the red planet' this is what the project manager of the robot opportunity, John Callas, of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory of NASA, affirmed, it's a statement.

Currently Rover is exploring the Valley of Perseverance, meanwhile the Curiosity is trying to explore Mount Sharp. When rover Opportunity turned 11 on the planet Mars, the NASA explorers celebrated with a timelapse of its entire journey until then. It may have been obsolete for more than 1,000 soles, but it is still very impressive.
