The Scalise Affair

Well, well, well....

So, we all know that there is a Mexican standoff between three parties :
(a) the Deep State globalist establishment elites (largely neoliberal and neoconservative),
(b) political progressives (populists like Bernie Sanders or ideologues like Ron Wyden, Tulsi Gabbard et al) , and
(c) Republican grassroots (itself consisting of two groups that are odds with each other : conservative ideologues like Ted Cruz and the Freedom Caucus as well as populists like the Donald Trump alt-right)

Group (a) represents pure evil and the enemy of everything good about humanity -- this is not presented as hyperbole or rhetoric. Group (a) is not evil because they are "globalist" or because they are "elite". They are evil because have usurped power in an ill-gotten manner and perpetuated a global reign based on bloodshed, violence and corrupt money.

Imagine if group (a) finds a crazy person from group (b) and gets him to assassinate folks from group (c), using a gun nonetheless. In one fell swoop, they get (b) and (c) to fight each other in a civil war of attrition, while also making a case for disarming the populace.

The elites win by keeping the people distracted and each others' throats (in a very literal sense, e.g. antifa vs. alt-right streetfights).

Divide-and-conquer has always been the way of the powers that be. The questions is : will the people continue to play into their hands?
