The Russian Supreme Court rejected the appeal of the opposition leader, Alexei Navalny, against the decision of the central electoral commission that forbids him to take part in the presidential elections of March 18, due to a previous conviction.
Navalny has always denounced the sentencing as a politics and has announced a recourse to the European Court of Human Rights, as well as continuing the legal battle in Russians through other degrees of judgement.
