Greetings, dear readers!
Not so long ago, we celebrated our favorite holiday - the New Year, and I, as always, on the eve of the holiday, compiling a film library of new year's movies for myself, included in this list this feature film-a fairy tale, shot by the Walt Disney film company in the genre of fantasy and adventure and intended for family viewing. It had its world premiere on October 31, 2018. In the Russian box office, this film was first shown on December 8, 2018 of the same year. I also watched it on one of the sites that provide services for viewing movies online.
The plot is based on the story told by the writer E. T. A. Hoffman in the fairy tale "the Nutcracker and the Mouse king", as well as the world - famous music-the ballet "the Nutcracker" by P. I. Tchaikovsky.
I want to warn you right away that you will not feel disappointed that here you will see a fairy tale not in its classic version, but somewhat modified, which does not make it worse than the original.
And this creates an additional charm and intrigue in the fairy tale, which will be resolved only by the end of the film.
You may be a little confused by the dark-skinned Nutcracker, but believe me, in a few minutes you will not pay attention to his skin color - the young actor Jayden Fowora-Knight copes with his role perfectly.
I would especially like to highlight the performance of actress Mackenzie Foy, who played the role of the main character Clara.
Actually, there are no special complaints about the game and other actors, they also coped with their roles perfectly. Among the cast, you will also meet artists such as keira Knightley, Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman and others.
I really liked the story of the fairy tale, which is a mixture of several fairy tales, but the main role here belongs to the Nutcracker.
I liked the great special effects and decorations that the filmmakers used to create a festive new year and Christmas atmosphere. I was particularly excited by the ballet scene, which tells the story of the creation of all four kingdoms. She was inimitable.
I think that your children will like the movie even if you watch it at home. In the cinema, it may look more colorful and fabulous.
