The REMME project has committed an evolution of innovations within the field of data security and protection, particularly, an authentication of devices and people without a password. This became technically possible because of appearing of the blockchain technology. By the month of February, the REMME team decided to gain eighteen billions of dollars in the ICO campaign during the sale of tokens. Before setting this price they informed users about the purpose of money accumulation. The money will be spent on software development, hiring people, improving the technical side of the startup.
The history of REMME 's ideas
The creator of this project Oleksandr Momot have burned up with an idea, but he hadn’t any kind of expertise in the field of blockchain and his education was in Economics field. Thus, as a solution, he decided to start taking pieces of advice from more experienced blockchain and crypto enthusiasts. Looking for an expert opinion, Momot visited the funds that were in the TOP-10 rating. The venture investors didn't understand the concept at all, unfortunately. This fact was the primary sign meaning that Ukranian venture investors are very far away from what they deal with on a daily basis. Thus Oleksandr Momot went to real professionals in blockchain field.
These times Ethereum had just appeared, and Vitalik Buterin was available to reach by email. He voluntarily gave an advice to all those who can give any financing or collaboration. Oleksandr anyway doubted if REMME will be Ethereum-based, and now it is far from Ethereum.
After negotiations with Vitalik Buterin, Momot went to the American accelerator to speak about his conception. An accelerator gave a possibility to use their website for submitting an application and continuing what they do in other countries. The whole team planned to stay in their native land Ukraine in this time. Feedback from an accelerator informed that there was a demand for development.
During next one and the half year, Momot funded the REMME project with money he gained from sales and other ICO investments. Everything changed in summer of 2017 because an interest to crypto and blockchain increased significantly.
The reason for an idea of REMME
This project is based on an open-source code to be used for other development solutions as a basis. REMME provides the world with the technological solution. Then everyone can adapt the REMME idea according to their private purposes and the local market. REMME opens up the field of possibilities.
The company plans to build many authorized offices worldwide within the regions that are the most progressive: USA, Europe, Middle East and Southeast Asia. REMME version from which it all started was created on Emercoin basis while the second one was made with the Bitcoin blockchain. Both technologies have its difficulties. And the point is that clients always want to know the price clearly, but this is impossible to predict for the next 3 years because cryptocurrencies are dynamic. Even the transactions cost in blockchain change fastly. That’s why REMME built its own blockchain.
About how the process go
REMME doesn’t store data. The reason is that if the information is located all in some place it means there is a hacking possibility. The status of your blockchain certificate is stored, but not the certificate itself. What does it mean?
Let’s take a look on the example. You arrive to an airport, show your documents to the security, and you are checked through the list of invited people.
This project developed by Oleksandr Momot is exactly the same. On project’s website, you click the login button thus showing the certificate. The page then checks status of your code on its server via the blockchain, then you can login if the information is valid and approved.
To change anything within your information, just generate a brand new dedicated certificate. The costs are quite inexpensive for business purposes. REMME’s audience are the huge organizations which are under attacks frequently. REMME’s mission is to erase an opportunity to hack. REMME is not a protective software, it just makes hacking technically impossible.
