"He that despiseth the neighbor is without sense, but the prudent man shutteth himself." (Proverbs 11.12)

It is wonderful when we ourselves recognize who we really are. We acquire self-knowledge through constant prayerful reading of the Bible. This self-knowledge leads little by little to a deeper knowledge of the Lamb. The more I recognize my own corrupt nature in the light of the Bible, the more I am able to recognize the Lamb in spirit and not just intellectually. "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world!" This makes us so calm inwardly that we speak less, especially about others.

We can only be quiet and quiet in the great storms of life when we are united to Jesus. "But he that is joined to the Lord is a spirit with him," that is divine intelligence and wisdom. In Proverbs 9:10 it is written: "... and the knowledge of the Holy One is prudence." Through an ever deeper knowledge of the Lamb we are enabled to remain silent at times when the natural man would like to speak - and speak ill of our neighbor. Are you already such a wise person who has put on the wisdom in person that is Jesus Christ? I insist on all, for the coming of the Lord is near: "... put on the Lord Jesus Christ!"
