The Worth of a Man

What this Man is truly worth!
Is set in struggle from his birth,
Throughout his span of shortened dearth,
so longing to gain a sense worth.
Told, by those gathered round, it’s in his hands, where “worth” is found.
Wearied, by those who measured his task, now his strength does fail to last.
For if to look within this man, is to know it’s not in his hands,
whereby we know the worth of this Man,
To have this Man forgiven of sin.
By the gift so freely given for him,
From the one whom worth is given.
As if he were the only Man living.
