Top 5 Favorite movie from a Kid Born in 1986

This past weekend i while writing a few riffs i was thinking about some of my favorite Horror movies of all time and realized that most of them happened before i was even born. So i decided to make a Top 5 list of Awesome Horror Movies released After March 12th 1986.

#5. Wes Craven's a New Nightmare (1994)

I really loved this movie for Two reasons, Number one it was a rebirth to one of my all time favorite characters in the genre, Hands down Freddy Kicks Ass! Number 2 it broke the 4th wall and brought Kruger into reality. suspending disbelief and making you believe that homie could be real. Also the Wes Craven painting in his house cameo was sweet

#4 Tales from the Hood (1995)

Great Flick! its like Boys in the Hood meets Creepshow. Friggin awesome! One of the best in the genre of anthology horror that told many great stories within one main arc. Not only does the movie have awesome effects it also has a touch of social issues that the genre of horror movies have always have a touch or (see the ending of Night of the Living Dead)

#3 People Under the Stairs (1991)

This movie is beyond bizarre but an Insane ride. I first watched this show on Joe Bob Brigg's TNT Monstervison. i remember it being a Double Feature with Motel Hell. Its starts out pretty basic but the unravels into some wacky shit. Wacky as it may be... This Movie could happen. Alot of stars and familiar faces of the genre.

#2 Child's Play (1988)

Can't really rationalize this but this movie scared the living dog bleep out of me. i once was getting up as a kid on Saturday to get my cereal and watch my Sat Mornin cartoons. all the sudden i turn on the TV and there was a Making of Child's Play shows on and i saw the dude Chucky. Ran to my room and traumatized ever since. Brad Doriff is Amazing, the Special Effects are Amazing. Love this Friggin Movie!

Honorable Mention, 1987 is one of the Best Years in Horror... The list goes like this
The Lost Boys,Evil Dead 2, Hellraiser, Nightmare on Elm Street 3, Monster Squad, Near Dark, Street Trash.... Truly Awesome

#1 IT (1990)

I Understand that this was a Made for TV mini series but a a kid this movie scared me more than any other. it didn't need gore or swear words, just relied on Terror. Tim Curry cant and will never be replaced in my eye as the Great Pennywise. Love the nostalgia of the 50's/60's. In my Opinion this is the best adaptation of and of Stephen Kings works. Had this recorded on VHS when i was a kid and would bring it to all my friends house to scare the shit out of them as well.
