Easy Homemade Granola Cereal

I’ve been making my own granola for many years now. A great way to ensure high-quality ingredients and trim your grocery budget. My kids love this cereal. With all the nuts and seeds, it has plenty of healthy fats to balance out the carbs of the oats.

Here’s what you need:

5 cups old-fashioned rolled oats

1 cup sliced/chopped almonds (or walnuts)

1/2 cup unsalted pepitas (hulled pumpkin seeds)

1/2 cup shelled sunflower seeds

1/2 cup hemp seeds

1/4 cup chia seeds

1/2 cup honey or maple syrup

2 tbsp molasses

1/4 cup coconut oil, melted

1/2 tsp salt

3/4 cup raisins (or dried cherries or cranberries)

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. On a rimmed baking sheet, toss together all ingredients EXCEPT dried fruit. Bake 30 minutes, stirring once halfway through cooking. After removing the cereal from the oven, add the raisins and toss to combine. Let cool. Will keep in an airtight container in a cool dry place for up to 3 weeks (or longer if refrigerated).

Enjoy!
