1 July International Reagge Day.

International Reggae Day is an annual event held in Kingston, Jamaica as a way to honour the music, style and socio-political contributions the genre has gifted us throughout the years– and will consist of tons of musicians and reggae-lovers coming together. That 24-hour global media festival hosted annually on July One , to highlight the best of Jamaica’s creativity and ‘uplift, inspire and unite’ the Reggae community worldwide with a one true love movement.
When Reggae Day premiered on July 1, 1994, the idea was to mobilize radio stations in Jamaica to showcase the roots and branches of Jamaican music. It took a few years as a grassroots movement before it began expanding.
