It has been a couple months since I updated on our Ranching adventure.
We have been dealing with the normal winter chores like breaking Ice in the water tanks, hauling water and feeding bales.

Although our winter is slightly warmer and slightly less snow than last year it still presents its challenges.

The calves are looking great! And we had a late winter calf added to the herd!

She is doing great! We did not think her mama “lil red” was able to breed so it was a nice surprise.

We also have our first round of Lil piggies!

This is my first experience with pigs. We did lose 2 sows earlier. We are not sure the cause but suspect the cold. The bore tends to push them out of the shed.

This girl here is one of our first 2 calves. She is known as shy girl. She is also known for crawling through the best of fences to get what she wants.
All in all this winter has went pretty decent. We shall see what the next couple of months bring. Last year we had record amounts of snow on the ground into the end of may.
And as usual I will end by sharing another beautiful sunset.
