Slow motion for Qurator's Photo Friday Competition

One of the good things about sloths moving so slow, is that you can have more time admiring them when they aren't hidden in the middle of the foliage! This photo was taken in Parque Nacional Manuel António, in Costa Rica.

The three-toed sloth, Bradypus variegatus, is one of the iconic animals of the country. It's hard to be able to have a good look at them, given their habits, but nere, I was even fortunate enough too see her scratching her belly, probably while deciding which leave to reach next!
