Nancy Pelosi needed some stuff to say during her 8-hour filibuster, so she included how her grandson's only birthday wish was to be a tan Guatemalan boy... Well, I'm starting to get a little tired of the shameless attempts to correlate the country's immigration issues with bigotry. I tell the story of Charles Thomas, a Negro League baseball player, from the early 20th Century—a story of struggle in the face of real racism. For Nancy to be using her grandson to manufacture a triumph over racism, and to be so bold and self-congratulatory about it...it's infuriating to me, and it's an afront to people who really have acted boldly in the face of adversity.
George W Bush made some statements overseas about the sanctity of our elections and the Russian threat we face; Space X's latest launch has caught most people in a state of Wonder and Awe, but has already triggered a string of Hoax theories. Finally we get to open up the floor to some talks about 5G technology, which seems like an inevitability. How can it be used for good? How can it be used for evil? How will its very presence affect humans and every other living being on earth? This will be fun.
