Promoting STEEMIT at San Diego Comic-Con 2017 Full story

We went to San Diego Comic-Con today and made THOUSANDS of people aware of STEEMIT.COM.

THERE WERE PEOPLE EVERYWHERE. It's one of the biggest events in downtown San Diego every year. The streets were closed off for the masssive crowds that were enjoying the convention and festivities! All of the restaurants and bars along the Gaslamp quarter were packed with people! Expect an influx of Steemit users because our Steemit poster was definetly catching everyone's eyes.

I went ahead and took the initiative by investing in Steemit through advertising! I spent less than $50 on supplies. I made an original Steemit.com poster and had it printed at FedEx/kinkos. Then I picked up a poster board to mount it, some glow sticks and bubbles for the kids to draw attention to us. We can all buy posters, flyers or make them and pass them out. Everyone on Steemit is an advocate for this revolutionary life changing, world changing, decentralized, social media blockchain! There's so much going on on Steemit, everyone should know about it! I believe it's only a matter of time before Steemit.com is the #1 social media website!

Superman LOVES STEEMIT!

Our boys were asking if they would get to see Superman today and here he was, astonishing their childish minds! I know this made their summer. Check out Zia's face (son closest to Superman). He was in total shock to be meeting "Superman". I have to give it up to this guy for his totally convincing getup. This is what Comic con is all about. Putting together some incredibly realistic personas. I knew someone who would spend the entire year preparing her costume for Comic con. Every detail had to be just right. From the fabric, to the hair, shoes, and makeup. Many people have so much fun with the creative costume process.

Mad Max LOVES STEEMIT!

@ackza and myself were working the crowd and educating many people about how easy it is to join and gain rewards. Like this guy who was dressed as a character from Mad Max. He was super interesting and we must have spent 5 mins talking to him about the benefits of Steemit and how much fun it is.

Our little princess Rose-Love got to meet her favorite Disney princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast!

The mob of people was insane, and sometimes overwhelming! We saw so many people impersonating characters and they were very convincing! You don't need to go to Disneyland to meet a princess! Rose-Love was in awe of Belle and the Beast! The people at comic con really take their costumes seriously. Steemit needs a costume too.

We yelled out "Steemit.com! Get paid to blog! Imagine if your likes earned you dollars. That's Steemit!"

And the people were digging it! So many many many many many many people learned about Steemit and all it took was a little initiative on our part. I had this awesome idea to reach a lot of people with a steemit sign at 2017 San Diego Comic-con and invited Zack along for the ride. He was thrilled. Here he is posing with the Steemit Board and a group of people on the sidewalk.

We walked over 50 blocks campaigning for Steemit. On many of the storefronts they had signs announcing they were accepting e-coin. What in the world is e-coin? We need to get bitcoin and Steem On these storefronts! Rrrrrrrraaaaahhhhh๐Ÿฆ…! Crypto-currency is swooping into people's lives like an eagle on the hunt.

A huge crowd of 500 people or more were gathering around for a street performing group called "We are Them". We managed to infiltrate the crowd and get to the front. One of the performers noticed the big Steemit sign and immediately came over to show some respect. He loves steemit.com! His user name is @healingfyah.

Here is another one of the street performers who goes by "Anointed". He was one of the dancers on the nationally televised show "So You Think You Can Dance". The other dancers were celebrity dancers for Chris brown, Will I am, and Calvin Harris. They were doing some trippy bone bending contortionist tricks and flipping over lines of people from the crowd!

Future Steemians for sure!

These helmets were the coolest! I'm tempted to buy one and have it scrolling "Steemit.com" for my future Steemit promotion post. We all had a pretty good time spreading the truth about decentralized blockchain systems. The children were very helpful. They were blowing bubbles and wearing their glow sticks proudly! I am so blessed to have found out about Steemit when I did. I see the potential that Steemit has to change my families lives for the better. I hope to give them more and more experiences such as this on behalf of Steemit. They are all pretty young now, but I read a post on Steemit where someone started 3 Steemit curation accounts for their future children. I found this to be a very caring and thoughtful move as a parent. I would like to start an account for each one of my children as well. A savings investment in Steem if you will.

Our oldest son was proudly holding our original Steemit poster board! It feels amazing knowing I am able to work and spend time with my family enjoying unique, fun experiences.

When we finally made it to the convention center it was the twilight hour.

Such a magical moment to declare that STEEMIT WAS HERE!!!! Thousands of people were milling about, soaking up the Steem. I am truly honored to be a part of such an honestly good platform such as Steemit. Steemit makes their users feel empowered, not cheated. Unlike the monetary system we have in place today, Steemit is controlled by us. We are Steemit! Comic-con has many people who are tech savvy, nerdy, and on the fore-front. I believe Steemit was received very well. Their interest were peeked, and as we were walking away we were hearing bystanders muttering to themselves, "Steemit.com" safely storing it in their memories.

Is this a statue or a person?

IMG_2597.JPG

(answer) PERSON!
This individual was walking on stilts and seeing through the chest plate of their costume to appear taller and more awkward. The legs and arms appeared to be extremely long, gangly and robotic. It was a freaking amazing impersonation of.............I dunno yet๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™Š but it was very realistic and convincing. We all thought it was a real robot.

Steemit! Steemit! Steemit! At San Diego Comic-Con 2017
