The Steem "Black Panther": The Superheroes That Bring Goodness To The Entire Steemiverse!

Hello Steemians,

Once Upon A Time, In The Distant Town Of The Imagination, Impossible Became Nothing In Reality!

We were in a very beautiful meetup in Abuja last weekend. It was beautiful not just because of the steem-based events that we had, but also because of the extra-curricular activities that sealed the deal.

@Jacobite, @Nmalove and @Gloxypearl were there to keep me company as we toured the Kaleidoscopic atmosphere of ShopRite Abuja. Hmmm! We then went to the Silverbird Cinema. It was my first time so we scouted around for the movies that were available.

We were opportuned to be there around the release date of Black Panther which happens to be the latest blockbuster movie in Hollywood history. It had a very high critical acclaim with a Rotten Tomatoes Rating of 97%. Watching it, I could see why and how it got such a high rating.

Everything about it was so unique. From the characters to the plot to the humour. The tension of the entire movie built up to the climax and resolution. Its been long since I enjoyed a movie that much. And to cap it all, watching it on the big screen did all the magic for me.

THE PLOT

It was set in the fantasy country of Wakanda in Africa. I got particularly piqued because there were alot of Nigerian references eg Sambisa Forest. The protagonist is the son of a King who just passed on. He had to get the Black Panther's powers into him for him to function as King and overLord. This then enables him to control the most powerful element in the world- Vibranium (fictional). That was where the problems began as many also sought that same power to wield.

The rest of the world were still looking at them as the 3rd world country while they were secretly super-developed. The King didn't want this power to be mis-utilized in subduing the entire earth as the Antagonist/Villian wanted.

SO HOW DOES IT RELATE TO THE STEEM BLOCKCHAIN?

The essence of this treatise is NOT to give you a movie review because that can be easily done by @nmalove who is still going to pull-down all the words of the English language and literature to take you through our cinematic experience of that day.

As I was watching the movie I could see a lot of similarities with our blockchain; that is the part I want to highlight and probably give you one or two things to remember.

  • The Setting In Fantasyland & Sci-Fi: Steem & steemit is a place which could have only existed in the fantasy of a hyperactive mind. Its not real and that's why it works so perfectly well.

  • The Whole World Don't Yet Know The Power We Wield: they may still be looking at us as members of that "irrelevant" blockchain thats not even in the top 20 on CoinMarketCap. We look at them and smile because we know what we have. We are No. 1 on Blocktivity and that is enough Proof of work.

  • We Don't Want The Normal Publicity Stunts: we understand that with great power comes a great responsibility. So we are being very careful with where and how we use what we have. We prefer to grow organically and build a network of people who really care about each other.

  • Steem just like Vibranium Is Helping Africa: through the influence of African leaders on the Steem blockchain, we have been able to mobilize the youth and give them a good job to do. They love social media so much (we all do). So why not make that social media a source of wealth creation for them as well?

  • We Are Highly Acclaimed; Check Weiss Rating: Just like Rotten Tomato gave the movie a 97%, we are getting a B- Rating* from Weiss. This is a high critical acclaim. Thats good for us even though there is still room for improvement.

UNLOCK YOUR STEEM SUPER-HEROISM! WHAT ARE YOU STILL WAITING FOR?

Ideally, we should all be Black Panthers. Even though that has not been the case because there will always be a Judas in every 12. However, we should be thankful for the 11 Super-heroes on the Steem blockchain.

We all have something unique in us. We all have Vibranium in us but the greatest problem is finding what it is... the 2nd greatest problem should be the dilemma of good/bad. Many misuse their super-powers for evil instead of for good.

What will you be remembered for in the end?

If its to be, its up to me!

All these are my ways of @promo-steem -ing. When you bring useful projects into the blockchain and do something nice for someone, they will definitely want to know where and how the money comes from. And then you point them to Steem. I just love being a @steem-ambassador coz it feels so good.

I still believe that...

Impossible Is Nothing!

I Remain me, my mouth & eye @nairadaddy aka SteemDaddy. My aim is to leave you better than I find you everyday!

Proudly A...
