And... We finally did it! STEEM will be added on Niffler.co.

Here's the good news: STEEM will be added on Niffler.co.

When I think back, it looks like an epic challenge, although it should have been quite easy to have 1000 people supporting STEEM.

But if I remember correctly, the campaign to support the listing of STEEM on Niffler started a few months ago, not even a few weeks ago. It's true only the start and the end were more visible on the blockchain, from my own subjective observations.

So, why did it take so long? What can we learn from this?

First of all, the elements that might have kept some people away:

  • lack of awareness (they didn't know about the campaign or not from enough sources to give it importance - this is where coordinated campaigns have a huge role)
  • not clearly understanding the benefits of listing STEEM on Niffler, unlike a regular exchange
  • the necessity to create an account on Niffler to support STEEM

Then, why, despite all that, did the campaign finally succeed, in my opinion?

Because it was well-crafted by Niffler and there is a clear measurement of progress. In the process, they get new users (and their emails) and we get the listing if we reach 1000, which we did.

Unlike other campaigns we enter where winners are hand-picked, criteria for selection not known, etc. this one was easy. It is true that the same approach is unlikely to be taken by more desired targets, like Binance or Coinbase.

In all cases though, it's almost always about mutual interest (or interests of third parties).

There you go @SteemAlliance, one more area where you should offer some coordination. On internal awareness campaigns to our users for important matters, like supporting STEEM on the outside. But you probably need to work first on improving the awareness of your own actions, thinking about how few registered as voters in the late elections, before they became open.

Also something for @steem.marketing perhaps, in the future?
