On March 4, 1995, 214 young gentlemen graduated from the Philippine Military Academy. New Officers of PMA Marilag Class of 1995 trailed their paths to pursue a successful military career.
23 years later, I returned to the hallow grounds of my Alma Matter, to remind me of my sworn duty as a Cavalier, to maintain the discipline and honor instilled in us. Through the years, I did my best to live my life with Courage, Integrity, and Loyalty. Principles that I thought my children to be a better citizen of our country.
As a walked through the PMA grounds, I reminisce the past that I was only a poor boy who just wants to finish college knowing that a diploma can change my future. Indeed I succeeded. Of course, I thanked the Lord for the opportunity 27 years ago that I was able to start a career for free.
Today, I encourage the young generation, including my children, to pursue their dreams no matter hard it may seem because I believe that “a person with a dream will never be denied”.
In today’s generation, anyone has a fair chance to succeed in life. All you have to do is to know what you want and do everything to get your dreams.
