Just recently in January this year, a great symbol of Indian culture and Heritage that is Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir was inaugurated on 22nd January, 2024. It was a much awaited event for whole nation and was celebrated itself as a festival. It's great to experience such a spectacular event representing ancient culture and heritage. It was not just any Lord Ram Temple inauguration but was most precious and holy moment for every Indian. It was the birthplace of Lord Rama and everyone was waiting to inaugurate Lord Rama Idol at his Birthplace.

Indian heritage is vast and deeply rooted in its ancient scriptures and epics. Ayurveda and Yoga are two pillars of Indian culture and symbol of its intellectual and spiritual heritage. India has taken the ayurveda and Yoga on international floors and now its a accepted method and professional practice at its best. Indian Epics that is Ramayan and Mahabharat are the epitome of Hinduism and Hindu philosophy. The wisdom and philosophy of Bhagavad Gita, which is a part of epic Mahabharata, is a great source of inspiration, life and self-awareness is considered best and prominent religious book.

The ancient heritage sites such as one of the seven wonders of the world Taj Mahal in Agra is resemblance of magnificent architecture of Mughal era. Ajanta and Elora Caves in Maharashtra, Red Fort and Qutub Minar in New Delhi, Sun Temple of konark, Monuments of Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh, Golden Temple in Amritsar are just of many such auspicious, marvelous and monuments of historical importance in the country.

Festivals and Rituals are another great part of Indian Culture and resembles vivid and bright heritage of our country. We have festivals of light that is Diwali, Festival of Colours that is Holi, Maha Shivaratri in honour of Lord Shiva, Janmashtami in honour of Lord Krishna and many other festivals in honour of Gods of Indian religions. As a part of heritage we have our ancient and old age traditional customs, rituals and ceremonies that are prominent and celebrated even in today's modern era. We do Pooja ie. is prayers in form of Havan ie. Chanting of mantras with offerings made in live fire. Then we have Yatras i.e. roadshows, chants, religious folks etc.

Then we have beautiful wedding rituals as per the old Indian traditions, marriages in India are not only the union of 2 individuals but also union of two families. As per the customs , the marriage ceremonies are performed for around a week involving various rituals, celebration. Further these rituals also vary from region to region in India. As famously said India is a country of unit in diversity. As we have so many cultures, languages, religions but all are connected with its heritage and form a indispensable part of it.

Heritage is a symbol of past, responsibility of present and a gift for future. As a responsible citizen we should respect, preserve and cherish our rich heritage in any form or so ever.
