Pero, para poder construir ese mundo del futuro, el niño debe crecer con las oportunidades necesarias y tener las condiciones que le permitan adquirir los conocimientos y habilidades necesarias que les permitan prepararse para la vida.
Sin embargo, una buena parte de los niños del mundo no tiene eso y muchas veces tienen que pasar por situaciones en las que se ven de repente, pasando de niños a hombres, explotados desde todo punto de vista o envueltos en guerras que ellos ni provocaron ni para las que están preparados.
Si usted examina lo que pasa en el planeta, podrá percatarse de que la situación actual de muchos niños es muy delicada y alejada de esa fiesta de celebración que debiera ser cada primero de junio. Más allá de la destrucción del medio ambiente, debiéramos enseñarles a protegerlo porque de él dependemos todos para seguir viviendo.
En lo económico
Una de las escenas más tristes que pueden verse es la de niños sometidos a largas jornadas de trabajo. Eso, de por sí, es ya muy abusivo. Si a esto le sumamos las condiciones humanas a las que están sometidos y los castigos de los que son objetos, entonces estamos ante un panorama muy triste.
Nunca debiera permitirse que un niño viviese semejante experiencia. Los mayores, por muy duras que sean las condiciones económicas afrontadas, no deben permitir que esto suceda, ni mucho menos exigirles que estén en una mina o laborando en el campo, en condiciones muy duras de trabajo.
