If you were to ask me, all my shoots are special to me in one way or the other. I leave a piece of my heart with every shoot that I put my heart and soul into and that's why maybe you'll find me address them as my 'favourite shoot', 'special shoot' quite too often 😂
Today I'm writing about one such shoot which is so close to my heart, because it was with my homegirl, Ms. Swathi Baliga who has my whole heart.
If anything, she was the best thing that happened to me in 2020 and here's a little history of our friendship which y'all never asked for, LOL. So we know each other from Company Secretary coaching classes, where we would bump into each other once in a while. Soon enough we cleared our first group of executive exams and were now preparing for the second group. I got introduced to her from another friend from coaching class, @abishek25 Abishek and I had a very unique way of studying which actually worked like magic during our preparation period. Wanna guess ? Yeah ? No ? Little ? NVM! We would study over PHONE CALLS! 🤣 The best and the most effective studies happens over phone call, change my mind. Yeah that's how we cracked these professional exams y'all! I'm so proud of us 🫂
So back to 2020, we created a study group during lockdown and we've not shut up since then 😂 We would be on call for most part of the day studying and chitchatting, sometimes. Undeniably one of the many things I miss about lockdown. I couldn't have asked for a better study group. That's when I got close to Swathi and Abishek TBH. And that's how our friendship began.
Ever since we got close, we've been dreaming of getting a shoot done together. And guess what! The universe heard that too. In the coming months our favourite photographer, Mr. Pritham Denzil D'souza (Pittu) planned a shoot with the two of us. We were so glad that it was finally happening with the best team. We had two of the leading make up artists of Mangalore on board for this shoot for two different looks. Yeah that's right, we had decided two looks. One being the Traditional South Indian look and the other being Retro look. As tiring as that day was, I'm so glad it happened.
We scheduled the traditional look for first part of the day and retro followed by that. And before I forget, we couldn't have pulled this off without Swathi and her family’s support, as this shoot took place at her beautiful ancestral house.
