RAIDER (CryptoRaiders) - Worth Buying?

CryptoRaiders is a dungeon-questing game with its economy is built on Polygon.

At the core of the game economy are the CryptoRaiders themselves, of which there are currently 7 'races' of varying different rarities.....

With a Raider you can send them through dungeons, take part in tournaments, send them on quests for items you can use to craft materials, which you can then use in game or trade. You can also periodically recruit new Raiders with current Raiders.

If you successfully raid a dungeon then your raider gets experience points and enough of these will allow you to level up - and you get points you can then distribute to your Raider's strength, agility, intelligence and so on to make him or her tougher.

The RAIDER token is the governance token of the CryptoRaiders Ecosystem. If you stake Raider you can earn up to a 20% return in Aurum (the in-game-economy token) AND you get voting rights to determine the future direction of the game.

RAIDER stakers have also received two generous airdrops since Raiders was launched back in August 2021: MOBS (which you shortly will be able to put in dungeons to steal other raiders' loot; and MOUNTS which you can currently pair with Raiders to double the speed they 'farm' at when questing for materials.

The CryptoRaiders themselves are most definitely worth buying IMO, as the floor price for even the current highest GEN, a GEN 5 has held at around the $100, the cost of recruitment, and they are the base of the 'farming ('playing') economy' for the whole game.

But is the RAIDER token itself worth buying?

Raider Tokenomics...

According to CoinGecko There are currently 7.5 million RAIDER in circulation, with a total supply of 100 Million.

The current market cap is 45 Million, with a fully diluted market cap of 500 Million, for just the TOKEN itself (not the wider game economy).

RAIDER release schedule...

To my mind the token distribution is very favourable towards LP providers with 50% going to LP rewards....

  • 50% to LP providers to be released over a 4 year schedule (17000/ day)
  • 20% to the founding team, locked in a 2 year vesting contract.
  • 15% to employees, locked in a year vesting contract.
  • 15% for bug bounties and future investors (treasury).

And not too much going to the founders and employees - although NB the first year lock is around August 2022, so that's the first large potential for a dump, combined with the fact a lot of RAIDER was stacked for a year to get the highest return on Aurum rewards that will add to a significant DUMP potential in August of this year.....

Nice returns on the RAIDER pools.....

The RAIDER (and Aurum) pools over some very nice returns - and these > 100% yields have been persistent over the past several months.....

You can also stake RAIDER for a 4-20% return...

Final Thoughts - RAIDER - Worth Buying...?

An investment in RAIDER is an investment in the long-term development of CryptoRaiders, which to date is a sound investment IMO given that the team have been consistent in progressing the game by bringing out more features on a regular basis.

Meanwhile the Liquidity pools offer a decent return, and the RAIDER price has held up very well since August 2021 - it started at just below $1, went up to around $15 at one point, but then sunk back to just under $4, currently sitting at $5.50.

The RISK you are facing if you are going to buy RAIDER is that in August there could well be a significant dump as millions of RAIDER become released from their locking contracts!

In the short term (2-3 months) I can't help but think RAIDER is maybe-buy, definitely a hold given that MOBS are shortly to be made live in the game, a key feature of the game mechanics, which I think could well create a bit of buzz and FOMO, and knowing the team, there could well be more surprise airdrops to RAIDER stakes.

And there's that great returns on the liquidity pools too of course!

Longer term I still think Raider is a good investment as the team seem to have a good grasp on economics - they delay recruitment of new raiders, for example, if the floor price of raiders is falling - however I think this is a case of either buy NOW or wait until Autumn after the release of all those additional RAIDER funds!
