A lot is going on with the splinterlands game these days including the announcement of a new booster pack edition. I have seen a lot of posts talking about the new edition and its presale, starting from 18th October onwards. I wanted to write this post before but because of my schedule I could not do this and I thought that weekend is an excellent time to talk about the game since I'll get enough time to see what is going on and what are the latest updates in the game and overall. I still remember that a road map was shared somewhere around June in which rebellion was also discussed but it was not clear if we were going to have it this year or specifically any month which was not mentioned on that road map but it was indicated that the new addition will be coming up in last quarter.
Rebellion Pre-Sale Announced
Finally, the presale for the rebellion pact is announced and as per the announcement post, the presale will be starting on the 18th of October. Even this presale page has gone live in the game account so if you do the login into your game account and checkout on the shop page then you should be able to find it. We need to understand this is a presale and not a general sale so as part of the presale there will be some promotional benefits and these are also mentioned on the page on the website.
A total of 500K booster packs are part of this presale where the cost of each pack is $5 and we will be able to pay through the dec or credits. This time they have not increased the price of packs which they generally do as we have seen in the past which is good for the community because this pack we are getting at the same price that we pay for Rift Watchers. I would like to mention here that we still have the Riftwatchers sale ongoing and this is this is a general sale so anybody can buy it. The Chaos Legion edition has already been sold out or burned in the game so the only option we have is to buy these packs from the third-party market (hive-engine), I have seen the price today which is very low.
Chaos Legion Price Dropped
The market price for Chaos Legion Park has dropped a lot but riftwachers are still doing well. I don't know what went wrong here and why everyone is sending these bags when this is one of the biggest editions we have in the game and it was the latest one if we exclude the Rift Watchers which is the mini addition in the game. If we look at the below snapshot then the price of each pack is $0.85 and this is the same pack that was sold for $4 by splinterlands.
I have some facts in my account and I have been holding these because I believe the price will appreciate in the long term but looking at this price trend it seems things are not doing good for these bags. There is a certain drop in the price and it seems it is going to drop further because a lot of sale orders are seen in the trade history. Now I can see a lot of people buying these packs so maybe this can be a good opportunity to buy these packs in the long term because you never know when something changes in the game and that will trigger the price to a better level but for sure I'm not going to sell and this is confirmed.
DEC Price Spike
While things are not good for the Chaos Legion Pack it is good for the D C token because the price has grown significantly in the last few days. I have taken the latest snapshot from the Coingecko website and as of now, the price is $0.90 for one thousand Dec tokens. Are we right to say that this coin is going back to its peg range which is $1 and currently it is 10% less but I remember it was $0.70 approximately two weeks back? I think the announcement for rebellion has triggered the price because a lot of people must be buying the token as this way they will be able to buy rebellion packs at discounted prices using Dec. I always say that Dec is the currency of the game so even if it is not at its expected price but also we cannot ignore the value of this token in the game because the utility is strong. You can buy almost every asset in the game using this token and this is an important part that we should not ignore.
Right now we have almost four days for the sale so I expect that this price will increase a little bit more but it will not be a surprise if it is one dollar or almost close to that. What are your thoughts about this token and do you think that its value will be back to its $1 pegged range which is the expected price in the usual scenario? I am not a technical analyst and I am also not an expert in this so can't share a detailed analysis but I believe it can happen if a lot of people decide to buy more dec from the market for buying rebellion packs.
This season will end in one day and I have played a lot that my energy count is low. I'll try to see how the upcoming presale will perform for this new rebellion pack and I understand this time they have followed a different system for the pack's sale. I just hope it goes well and more people buy so that the game gets more funds that they can use to develop more things in the project.
