Wow, itās funny how i never knew what the true definition of GAMBLING is until today, this is actually a big slap on my face as a youth who spent years in school reading and studying textbooks and novels of different kinds. Iām pretty sure i would have never checked the dictionary or website for it real meaning not to talk more of knowing what it truly means if i wasnāt participating in this particular prompt todayā¦
Donāt get me wrong guys, i know who a āgamblerā is and what āgamblingā means, this knowledge is self taught and self acclaimed, what Iām trying to say is that i have never opened the dictionary to check what is actually written there, I meant their own definition of gambling and who a gambler is, which means i never knew the dictionary meaning of what gambling and gambler means, until todayā¦
If you were to call me a gambler yesterday, I would have been quite offended because I would take it as an insult, this is the reaction you would get from me as of yesterday when I never knew what the true meaning was. Call me a gambler today and i will smile at you and tell you confidently that āYes, i am indeed a gamblerā without feeling offended, the difference is pretty clear, yesterday i was in the shadow of the real meaning and today i know what gambling means and who a gambler isā¦
I came to know who a gambler is, and from what i saw online;
A Gambler is a person who takes a lot of high risk chancesā¦
This is the best definition i have seen so far, i also know and believe negativity and addiction are the first two words that mostly pops up into every manās head when gambling is being mentioned, this is expected to happen because many of us donāt know the actual meaningā¦
A gambler is also called a staker and a staker is also called a better, these three words are being held together by one common thing is called money, these three words involves the use of money and that is why they can be substituted for each otherā¦
In summary, thatās that about that, I learnt something new scrolling the web today and I decided to share it with you guys, especially to those who donāt know this before and always see gambling in a negative lightā¦

THE CONCEPT OF GAMBLINGā¦
Prior to my discovery I have never seen a gambler as a high risk taker, on the other hand I have always considered gambling a bad idea and a bad investment, and also consider every gambler a dummy, but today i know differently and my views about gambling and gamblers have changed significantlyā¦
I now see a gambler as a high risk taker and not a dumb head. Life is full of so many uncertainties, and with so many inconsistencies and uncertainties comes with a great number of risks. This is why we termed automatic risk takersā¦
We are in the 21st century, if you are here and you are still scared of taking risks, Iām not sure this is the right century for you, you should probably go back to the 16th or 17th century where everything is easy. Everything in this modern generation involves gambling of different kinds, nothing is guaranteed in a world where we have to till the ground to surviveā¦
There is a big difference in taking risks, taking wise risks and blind risks are two different things, and in both cases there is bound to be an outcome, you either win or lose, with wise risks come great responsibility and result but with dumb ridiculous comes great consequencesā¦
Gambling is good and wise, but it only depends on what you are gambling on and how well youāve made your research as a business man or one with a business mindset, taking high risks when you know what youāre getting into is wise enough but if itās the other way round then stay away from itā¦
An ordinary gambler is very different from an addict, as a gambler try to always maintain your sanity and stability as a wise gambler and not an addict, know and understand when the odds are and arenāt in your favor, that is what differentiates a wise gambler and an addictā¦
In summary, yes, i am a gambler. I am a wise risk taker but not a high one š, i have gambled in the past and I still gamble now, I know when to go and when to stop and that is what makes me differentā¦
In conclusion, being a gambler isnāt a crime but being a gambling addict is, so stay cautious and be wiseā¦
