Dance, Rock and BirthdaysYesterday I celebrated my birthday in a dance space, which also had a special touch because as a group we celebrated 2 years dancing in that cozy space, where we have lived many experiences of growth inspired by music and body expression.
I have 9 years biodancing, and since I came to biodanza I try that on my birthday I have that moment of dance that I enjoy so much. Unlike other years, this year my mother and sisters were present, it was very nice to see them incorporated into the group. I also had a large participation of gentlemen, which is wonderful for any biodance group, the yin and yang ☯️ in balance.
I dedicated the session to the rock genre, first time I do a session like this and I feel it was very special. It is not my favorite musical genre, however I appreciate many things of rock that I wanted to transmit yesterday in my session as the passion x what you like, the intensity, the expressiveness and that expansion that comes from every sound that emanates from rock.
One of the participants said yesterday that one of the things he appreciates about rock is its strength to generate “bonds”, and that was what was manifested in the dance experience, genuine, expressive links ... and that desire to break schemes and paradigms that imprison us as a society.
We talked before the dance that this musical genre has been somehow “demonized” by many, but behind it there is a great depth that can invite you to that inner journey that leads you to take the courage to break the chains.
