Introducing AI Summaries for Hive and LEO related livestreams

Every single week there are important discussions taking place in the many community podcasts and various livestreams of the HIVE ecosystem. But however great the actual contents of these episodes are, the fact is that we have a diverse and global audience with varied preferences and language proficiency levels. This makes the valuable information contained within these episodes largely inaccessible to a big chunk of people that otherwise wants to participate.

Recognizing the need for inclusivity and accessibility, I'm happy to introduce @ai-summaries a project aimed at making podcast and livestream content available in text format. The project is inspired by a thread by @coyotelation, where he pointed out something that I honestly hadn't given much thought, but once I became aware of, it was very obvious.

When and where?

Every time a relevant podcast is posted, I aim to have the summary up within 24 hours. The summaries will be posted to the @ai-summaries account, and rewards will be declined. Four summaries from four different podcasts have been posted so far, as a proof of concept:

Summary: CTTPodcast Ep. 101 – February 17, 2024

Summary: Lion's Den – February 16, 2024

Summary: INLEO AMA – February 13, 2024

Summary: Hive Town Hall – February 1, 2024

Purpose and Intention

1. Accessibility for Non-English Speakers:

HIVE has a global audience with members from diverse linguistic backgrounds. This will reduce language barriers by providing text summaries of the contents of livestreams. Thus enabling non-English speakers to grasp the essence of important discussions, without the constraints of language proficiency.

2. Catering to Different Consumption Preferences:

Understanding that people have varying preferences when it comes to consuming content, this will offer an alternative to listening to a podcast. Some Hivers may prefer to read rather than listen, and this makes the information available in multiple formats.

3. Supporting LeoAI's Analytical Capabilities:

With the upcoming implementation of LeoAI on INLEO, this contributes by presenting podcast discussions in a structured text format, which will facilitate easier content analysis and enhance the overall functionality of LeoAI.

Practical Project Guidelines

At the beginning of every post there will be a disclaimer and some information about the project, as it's crucial to acknowledge the AI-driven nature of it. Because as the summaries are generated by GPT-4, occasional errors will obviously occur. I will be going over the AI summary report by hand before posting them, like adding in the hive usernames of the speakers, correct misspellings of project names etc, but errors are bound to slip through. In each post I will encourage readers to provide corrections, additional information, or improvements in the comments section.

How to support the project

If you find value in this project and wish to contribute, I appreciate your support through re-blogs and link sharing. If you want to support my main account in addition, that's of course also most welcome. Note that all posts to the @ai-summaries account are set to decline rewards, to maintain a focus on the project's core goals.
