I don't have many friends, I guess I'm not the kind that keep too many of them or I just don't call anyone my friend but the ones I call my friend, I didn't just start seeing them as one but situations made them friends to me. Since I don't have many, I can easily tell what drew me closer to the ones I have.
I understand that I'm asked what values I seek in friendship but these things that drew me to them are what I call, values and more. I think God has His whole hands in the kind of people I come across in my life, 90% of them are always for my own good.
Of course, there will always be the ones we wished we didn't get close to but for me, even those ones taught me lessons I wouldn't have learned without them. So for my real friends, the ones I'm attracted to and value their friendship...
It is their "Good Energy and Vibes" that drew me in!
I'm not the outspoken type and I don't feel comfortable around strangers easily unless I have a close friend around to warm me up into strange situations. So finding these people who I would later call friends has got to mean that, a lot happened and that involves them showing off what I find hard to... Connect easily.
These friends I have didn't just connect with me easily with the way they talk or act, they also won my heart with their level of reasoning and discipline towards what's right and what's wrong. You could say I don't keep bad friends, I can't remember having any who advice me to do something bad except jokingly.
A friend who is always ready to scold me when I mess up and then find a way out of it with me, I have these kinds of friends and I appreciate their friendship. With every time we spend together, they teach me better what I want in any friendship I want to build.
Mind you, I don't discriminate when it's about friendship, I can be friends with just anyone whether a guy or a girl, an elderly man or woman, a little girl or boy... What I look for or seek after, is that I am growing positively with their friendship even if it's in the most little way.
I've had friends who could guess what I'm thinking and the ones who are always ready to lit up the mood anytime especially on my not so good days. Not so many friends I keep but the few I have when they want to act their real self, it feels like I have way too many of them.
So if I want to make a new friend today, I look out for good energy... That is, they appear jovial and are good with their jokes and words when talking. And the vibes, that there are no dull moments with them. They are kind people, appreciate good things of life and wants the best for me just as I want same for them.
These friends are hard to find but a lot more harder to lose and so I appreciate the ones I've gotten and I look forward to seeing them grow even bigger in the future just as they wish same for me. The values in friendship can mean more than even the friendship itself, good energy and vibes are awesome ones to look out for.
