What Is GHAWG?
#GHAWG is short for "God's Hog: A Watchful Guardian." This fictional story tells how David Guardia, a courier and business owner from Bayonne, New Jersey, US moved into the next phase of his life after spending the final ten years of his ailing father's life helping him.

| Once we all had a turn at the "Bitcoin" ATM and refueled at Speedy's Truck Stop, we rode Interstate 40/Old Route 66 into New Mexico. After passing Manuelito & Defiance, we switched to New Mexico 118 to continue on Old Route 66. |

| We rode NM-118/Old Route 66 into Gallup, passing Allison along the way. From there we rode the combined NM-118/Interstate 40 to La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Gallup just outside Rehoboth. Lionel scored us good room rates. |

| 🏍️ {Lionel Odunsi} had been tasked by {David Guardia} with finding Our Heroes good lodging rates for those times they needed to stay in a hotel/motel (which turned out to be most of the time). This task seemed in line with his business studies at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. |

| Before we retired to our rooms for the night, we had a conversation in the common area as we ate. Gladiator was playing in the background. We caught it at the scene where "The Spaniard" reveals himself as Maximus to Commodus. |

| 🏍️ The day I wrote this zapfic entry I was at a loss as to what I should write while Our Heroes were in New Mexico. I had seen the .GIF images for this scene countless times, but part of the speech caught my eye. This sent me down the rabbit hole, only this time I had learned nothing about what I was researching; instead, all my research kept referring to the movie, rather than the subject matter featured in that speech. |

| 🏍️ BINGO. This is the reason I went down the rabbit hole for my reasearch: Felix Legion. It sounded like it would be a good name for a motorcycle club (association or outlaw). From the little information I could remember from the research I did, the Felix Legions were named after emperor Flavius Felix. The Felix Legions were also supposed to be like today's special forces units assigned to the northern boundaries of the Roman Empire. If I am mistaken in any of what I just wrote feel, don't hesitate to set the record straight for me. |

🏍️ Once I decided that David and Rhonda Bella were going to be Newlyweds, I was going to feature their honeymoon on a recurring basis. Then I realized it was going to be a distraction to the overall theme of GHAWG and Rat Bike, which is why I decided it was time for the uncanny Manny Rey to make an appearance in San Bernardino. David and Rhonda Bella Guardia will still be doing The Honeymoon Thing, only I toned it down in order to give more attention to The Kids and even The Twins. |

| Once my stab at artwork was done, Rhonda & I pulled an all-nighter before we left Gallup with the rest of the crew. We rode US Route 66 past Rehoboth, Church Rock, Wingate, Perea, and Coolidge. We refueled at Continental Divide. |

| 🏍️ For some people, an al-nighter would be exam preparation. For other people, it would be a marathon for gaming or television viewing (especially for TV series such as Seinfeld, Friends, or The Twilight Zone; or for movie series such as Star Wars, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, The Matrix, Rocky, James Bond, or even The Hangover). For others, it would "The Night" when people who just started dating spend all night simply talking and learning about each other. For David and Rhonda, they did far more than "just talking" to learn more about each other. At the refueling stop, David and Rhonda were going to need to double up on Reb Bull or whatever other energy drinks were available. |

| From Continental Divide we rode past Thoreau, Prewitt, Bluewater, and Milan, before reaching Grants. A bit beyond Grants was a Holiday Inn Express & Suites where we called it a day. Once again, Lionel scored us great room rates. |

| 🏍️ More travel for Our Heroes, punctuated by an affordable hotel stay discovered by Lionel Odunsi. Our Heroes were making good ground in riding east along Old Route 66. It would still be a little while before David Guardia would let the rest of the crew learn of his plans for a "wardrobe upgrade" all would be getting (including himself). |
