Today I want to invite you to a cozy and beautiful place where you can relax body and soul. In mid-January, I went there for my uncle's birthday.
Restaurant "Grydnytsia" probably existed for more than 15 years in the dungeon of Olesky Castle. I once wrote about this ancient castle in Western Ukraine.
However, from the end of 2020, unfortunately, the cafe was forced to move. It upset and outraged the public, because "Hrydnytsia" was the decoration of the castle and seemed to revive this old giant. In addition, people often held weddings, birthdaysand other feasts there. Ensembles of medieval dances often performed there and knights fought.
The management of the restaurant decided to move to a small and modest two-story building, which once had a cheap bar. Most of the interior details were moved from the previous room, so the atmosphere of the Middle Ages is preserved!

Сьогодні я хочу запросити вас у затишне і гарне місце, де ви можете відпочити душею і тілом. Всередині січня я побувала там на дні народження у мого дядька.
Ресторан "Гридниця" існував мабуть понад 15 років у підземеллі Олеського замку. Колись я вже писала про цей старовинний замок на Західній Україні. Проте з кінця 2020 року, на жаль, кафе змушене було переїхати. Насправді всіх причин я не знаю, але це не має відношення до нашої теми... Це засмутило та обурило громадськість,адже "Гридниця" була окрасою замку і ніби оживляла цього старого велетня. Окрім того люди часто проводили там весілля, дні народження та інші бенкети. Часто там виступали ансамблі середньовічних танців і бились лицарі.
Керівництво ресторану вирішило переселитись у маленьке і скромне двоповерхове приміщення, де колись вже був інший дешевий бар. Більшість деталей інтер'єру було перевезено з минулого приміщення, тому атмосфера Середньовіччя збереглась!!!
That evening we had a good conversation with relatives, the closest relatives of the jubilee gathered. The menu was varied, for every taste. Than I found it interesting to walk around and take some photos. This post does not claim objectivity, because that evening my eye was attracted mainly by small details of the interior. In my country from mid-December to the end of January is a holiday and so the Christmas tree and other little things created a Christmas atmosphere. Come with me!
У той вечір ми гарно спілкувалися із родичами, зібралися найближчі родичі ювіляра. Меню було різноманітним, на кожен смак. В один момент мені стало цікаво прогулятися навколо і зробити кілька фото. На об'єктивність цей допис не претендує, адже у той вечір моє око манили переважно дрібні деталі інтер'єру. У моїй країні з середини грудня і до кінця січня вважається святковий час і тому ялинка та інші дрібниці створювали різдвяну атмосферу. Ходімо зі мною!
On the ground floor there is a hall with a bar, one large hall and one small room and stairs to the second floor.
It's very cold in this room. It may be used in the warm season, or on request include heating. This is where the interesting details from the previous room, ie from the castle. It is a massive wooden partition with animal skins, oak doors, large and rough tables and benches. I want to touch everything!
На першому поверсі є холл з барною стійкою, один великий зал та одна маленька кімната і сходи на другий поверх.
У цьому залі дуже прохолодно. Можливо його використовують у теплу пору року, або між замовлення включають обігрів. Саме тут опинилися цікаві деталі з минулого приміщення: масивна дерев'яна перегородка зі шкура и тварин, дубові двері, великі і грубі столи та лавки. До всього хочеться торкнутися!
The word "Grydnytsia" means a banquet hall for soldiers, knights. It dates back to the times of Kyivska Rus.
And here, behind the beautiful burlap curtains, there is a small room "for lovers" or for a group of several people.
А тут за гарними шторами з мішковини є невелика кімната «для закоханих» або для групи з кількох людей.
Well... As you may have guessed, this is a toilet. Here is an old renovation from the time of the previous bar.
However, the new owners added interesting details. I really liked these massive wooden beams as a decoration for mirrors and doors.
And now we are on the second floor! There are several long massive tables for larger companies. I liked the corner with the Christmas tree, where you could sit on hay bales.
I met real princesses here, but then I couldn't resist and also took the opportunity to wear a red mantle. The wardrobe of the restaurant has a lot of costumes for adults and children. So for a nominal fee you can dress and make a photo shoot in such stylized clothes.
А тепер ми опинилися на другому поверсі! Тут є кілька довгих масивних столів для більших компаній. Мені найбільше сподобався куточок з ялинкою, де можна було посидіти на тюках з сіна. Я зустріла тут справжніх принцес, а потім не втрималась і теж використала можливість одягнути стару мантію. У гардеробі ресторану є чимало костюмів для дорослих і дітей. Отож за символічну плату ви можете одягнути та зробити фотосесію у такому стилізованому одязі.
One of my friends, looking at my photos, noticed that such wooden chairs are probably very hard and uncomfortable. I can't agree, I was ok.
Well, it's medieval, friends...
Один із моїх друзів, дивлячись фотографії, помітив, що такі дерев’яні стільці, мабуть, дуже жорсткі і незручні. Я не можу погодитися, у мене все було добре, адже сидіння за столом ми чергували з прогулянками і танцями.
Ну, це середньовіччя, друзі...
I love these wooden chests of drawers with small lockers and drawers. Believe me, they are very convenient to keep all sorts of little things.
On each table there is a candle, a vase with branch.
And in general all the dishes in the cafe are made of clay. I think that the food acquires a special taste in it.
Люблю такі дерев'яні комоди з маленькими шафками і шухлядами. Повірте, у них дуже зручно тримати всякі дрібниці.
На кожному столику тут стоїть свічка, вазочка, це створює затишок. І взагалі весь посуд у кафе зроблений із глини. Я думаю, що у ньому їжа набуває особливого смаку.
The menu here is also respectable and massive.
Що ж, сьогодні я лише наполовину відкрила двері у цей чарівний світ... Коли настане літо, я з радістю запрошу своїх друзів і на екскурсію замком, і у "Гридницю", адже люди, які це створили, люблять свою справу. І це головне.

Well, today I have only half opened the door to this magical world ... When summer comes, I will be happy to invite my friends for a tour of the castle and "Grydnytsia", because the people who created it love their business. And this is the main thing.
