SnapChat is an instant messaging application and service that is owned by Snap, Inc. (formerly Snapchat Inc).
It allows users to create and share (and view) multimedia messages called "Snaps" which is either a photo or a short video that can be edited to include text captions, drawings, filters and effects. Other features were added through the years which enhance users experience.
As of July 2022, the daily active users reported by the company has reached 347 million.
The app is available to download for free on both Android and iOS via Google Play the App Store respectively.
