SplinterGlossary: Player versus Environment (PvE)
When players interact with game elements or play against game-controlled opponents, we have Player versus Environment (PvE).
This is an expression that distinguishes the situation where two or more players are matched in combat in a game (or where they interact in a game), which is called Players versus Player (PvP).
