Love In Diversity

Man, as we all know, is a relational animal. Right from the Stone Age, men have always been related to each other and their environment.

Diversity simply has to do with man's different geographical locations. I can say that before the contemporary period. This diversity was really pronounced, and the world saw itself through the lens of race, language, and tribe. These various variables led to disunity among the humans. The diversity in culture is the most pronounced, and we try to play the superior culture card. Using Nigeria as my case study, I can tell you that ethnicity really impacted us negatively. It has led to nepotism and favoritism. Where people are appointed into positions that they are not qualified to occupy. Man has always been tribal in nature, and this has affected our relationship with each other.

The diversity of the human race is projected through racism. Racism is a cancer that has eaten up the soul of our society. Racism is deeper than hating someone based on the color of their skin. It has to do with seeing others as being less than you. Racism has become so institutionalized that we no longer believe in merit. But we should understand that no man is superior to the other, as we all have the same red blood.

There is beauty in the diversity of the human race. The world is now a global village, and we get to understand and appreciate other people's cultures and uniqueness. I can say that technology has really enhanced our understanding of the beauty in our diversity. I remember watching the Notting Hill Carnival. I was able to appreciate the Caribbean culture, and I was fascinated by the beautiful display. The diversity of man is man's greatest strength.

If we are able to look beyond our different cultures and see what we can achieve together as humans.

Tolerance will be achieved if we understand that we are all perculiar and beautiful. Tolerance simply has to do with us respecting other people's culture, views, beliefs, and religion. For me, religious tolerance is the biggest problem we are facing as humans. We all feel that our religion is the best and superior to others. It doesn't matter what we feel; we must all respect the religious leanings of others. Tolerance will help in promoting peace and unity in the world. We will see fewer hate crimes, and the world will become a beautiful and blissful place for us all to live and grow together.

Our uniqueness is in our diversity, and we must learn to tolerate others. We should let love lead us, and we will see the peace and harmony that will be achieved in the world.
