Immigration is most times caused by several factors such as better job opportunities , improved living conditions and pursuit for better educational opportunities.
I have never travelled out of my country for vacation before, not to talk of leaving or staying in another country for an extended period. But the truth is , relocating to a foreign country to further my education and seek better living and job opportunities is one of the key goals on my bucket list.
I actually know alot of people who have have relocated or chosen to stay in a different country permanently or for an extended period and i have also met with friends who have come to stay in my country and have even become citizens as well.
My blood brother is actually currently living with his family in the U.K and is reasons for not leaving here anymore is the ways of life of the staying in the country. Most times he says he can't cope with the high traffic congestion and even the high increase in price of goods as well as the lack of economic growth. They have spent over 2 years staying there now, and have literally been enjoying their stay. I don't even think they can ever consider coming back to Nigeria except they want to come visiting during the holidays or probably for Christmas.
In the same way , i have had friends who relocated to different countries just for better education and job opportunities. I particularly have this childhood friend who is now an immigrant in Canada and he actually tells me he is enjoying is stay over there because it is easier to survive compared to this place. Also , he is a student and at the same time he can still work and earn enough money to take care of himself which is not something very common here.
Most of the people I have met, and now immigrants in my country are mostly Ghanians. I have met with two of them particularly boys, and honestly they are very good and one of the best people to live with . One thing that was very common in both of them was the fact that they could both play football. I actually met them in high school. Infact , one of them was our best footballer back then.
I loved my experience with them and I loved that they where very supportive and proud of their country even though they are currently living in another man's land. But I didn't like the fact that they loved comparing their country to ours 😅. Sometimes ,i just shake my head and laugh because they don't even have the gut to stay in their country but then they come to ours and try to claim their food is better or they play better football than us.
The worst times are usually when we face them in tournaments like AFCON, if they just by any chance defeat us us we are always in deep trouble they would disturb throughout the night or even day. But then they are actually very sweet and lovely people and I think the reason why they left their country to stay in ours, is majorly because of education they wanted to come study and get better education in a different country but since then they have have enjoyed their experience while exploring Nigeria and have decided to stay here permanently with their parents and siblings.

La inmigración muchas veces es causada por varios factores, como mejores oportunidades laborales, mejores condiciones de vida y la búsqueda de mejores oportunidades educativas.
Nunca he viajado fuera de mi país de vacaciones, ni siquiera para hablar de salir o quedarme en otro país por un período prolongado. Mudarme a un país extranjero para continuar mi educación y buscar mejores oportunidades de vida y empleo es uno de los principales objetivos en mi lista de deseos."
De hecho, conozco a muchas personas que se han reubicado o han elegido quedarse en un país diferente de manera permanente o por un período prolongado, y también he conocido a amigos que han venido a quedarse en mi país y se han convertido en ciudadanos también.
Mi hermano de sangre actualmente está viviendo con su familia en el Reino Unido y su razón para no volver aquí es la forma de vida en ese país. La mayoría de las veces dice que no puede lidiar con la alta congestión del tráfico e incluso el alto aumento en los precios de los productos, así como el pobre crecimiento económico. Han pasado más de dos años viviendo allí ahora, y literalmente han estado disfrutando de su estancia. Ni siquiera creo que consideren regresar a Nigeria, excepto para venir de visita durante las vacaciones o probablemente para la Navidad.
De la misma manera, he tenido amigos que se han reubicado en diferentes países solo por mejores oportunidades de educación y trabajo. Tengo particularmente a este amigo de la infancia que ahora es inmigrante en Canadá, y él me dice que está disfrutando de su estancia allí porque es más fácil vivir allí en comparación con aquí. Además, es estudiante y al mismo tiempo puede trabajar y ganar suficiente dinero para mantenerse, algo que no es muy común aquí.
La mayoría de las personas que he conocido, y que han emigrado a mi país, son en su mayoría ghaneses. He conocido a dos de ellos, en particular chicos, y honestamente son muy buenos y de las mejores personas con las que vivir. Una cosa que era muy común en ambos era el hecho de que podían jugar al fútbol. Los conocí en la escuela secundaria. De hecho, uno de ellos era nuestro mejor futbolista en ese entonces.
Me encantó mi experiencia con ellos y me encantó que fueran muy solidarios y orgullosos de su país, aunque actualmente vivían en tierras ajenas. Pero no me gustaba el hecho de que les encantara comparar su país con el nuestro 😅. A veces, solo sacudo la cabeza y me río porque ni siquiera tienen el valor de quedarse en su país, pero luego vienen al nuestro y tratan de afirmar que su comida es mejor o que juegan mejor fútbol que nosotros.
Los peores momentos suelen ser cuando nos enfrentamos a ellos en torneos como la AFCON. Si por casualidad nos vencen, siempre estamos en problemas; nos molestan durante toda la noche o incluso el día. Pero en realidad son personas muy dulces y encantadoras, y creo que la razón por la que dejaron su país para quedarse en el nuestro es principalmente por la educación. Querían venir a estudiar y obtener una mejor educación en un país diferente, pero desde entonces han disfrutado de su experiencia mientras exploran Nigeria y han decidido quedarse aquí permanentemente con sus padres y hermanos.
