VERSIÓN EN ESPAÑOL
En transcurso del año, en el transcurso de los días del mes tenemos en existencia varias celebraciones, las mismas tienen el fin de no perder de vista hechos y/o acontecimientos que son de importancia para la humanidad. En este post, la comunidad de humanitas nos invita a reflexionar sobre tres importantes temas que en este mes de abril se nos invita a conmemorar: el libro, la creatividad y la conciencia. Por esta razón, quiero compartir una reflexión personal sobre diversas maneras que tenemos de relacionarnos con el tiempo desde cada uno de estos temas en particular.
Tengamos en cuenta que el concepto de tiempo desde el cual parto aquí no es uno lineal estrictamente hablando sino más bien dinámico, es decir, como uno que comprende que el tiempo es una manera o forma en la cual la humanidad ubica ciertos acontecimientos, los cuales pueden relacionarse entre sí de distintas maneras. Esto dicho, empecemos:
El pasado y los libros
Los libros son una especie de memoria escrita por medio de la cual la humanidad puede hacer llegar a la posteridad, o conservar para la misma, sus pensamientos, ideas y/o sueños. En este sentido, los libros son un tributo a la grandeza del ser humano, ya que detrás de todo libro hay no solo un contexto específico sino una persona que ha plasmado parte de su ser a través de su escrito.
Desde este hilo argumentativo podemos afirmar que podrán pasar los años pero los libros acompañarán a las generaciones posteriores para que estas no olviden determinadas enseñanzas de la vida. En efecto, pensemos en los libros de historia, de ellos aprendemos que el que no aprende de sus errores indefectiblemente está destinado a repetirlos. Podemos decir otras muchas otras cosas sobre cómo los libros nos mantienen conectados con una generación que nos antecede o que nos permite estar conectados con una generación que vendrá luego, pero baste estas líneas para expresar el sentido de mi reflexión.
La creatividad y el futuro
El tema de la creatividad es uno que me apasiona mucho, ya que me hace pensar en cómo tenemos dentro de cada uno de nosotros una semilla que nos hace participar del poder creador de Dios, en el sentido de que así como él ha creado el mundo y el universo también nosotros podemos crear todo un mundo y universo a nuestro alrededor. Quizás sea por esto que me encantan las historietas y las películas de ficción, porque intuyo que allí hay mucho de ese poder creador. Tengo que decir lo mismo de las diversas expresiones artísticas, ya que me hablan de todas las potencialidades que pueden haber inmersas en cada ser humano.
Siendo esto así, podemos valernos de la creatividad para forjar el futuro que queremos, es decir, ayudados por nuestra imaginación partir de una idea y elaborar algo sorprendente, de hecho, los grandes creadores en diversos sectores o áreas de la sociedad primero han creado aquello que quieren en su mente y luego lo han llevado a la realidad. Desde esto punto puedo afirmar que el futuro es de aquellos que nos dejamos llevar por la creatividad. No de aquellos que piensan que como las cosas se han hecho siempre así, así se deben mantener sino de aquellos que consideran que pueden haber otras formas de llevar a cabo una acción, aquellos que somos creativos.
La conciencia y el presente
He puesto intencionalmente el tema de la conciencia con la unidad de tiempo que nos falta, la más importante, puesto que mientras el pasado ya no está y el futuro es incierto solo tenemos ahora y en cada momento el presente. Precisamente creo que nos podemos muy bien valer de la conciencia para llegar a vivir nuestro presente de manera más efectiva, en efecto, a quién no le ha pasado que tiene la oportunidad de vivir experiencias maravillosas pero por tener su mente en otro lado no le saca el máximo provecho? por ejemplo, la salida con la pareja, un rato de conversación con los hijos, compartir con los amigos, etc.
Además de esto la capacidad de tener control de nuestra conciencia es un hecho que nos define en nuestra humanidad puesto que nos permite no solo conocer sino tener conocimiento de cómo conocemos y en este proceso conocernos a nosotros mismos, y como leí una vez, el poder del espejo, es decir, de conocerse a sí mismo, es el más importante que existe.

Throughout the year, we celebrate various events that serve to remind us of important milestones and achievements in human history. This month of April, the Humanities community invites us to reflect on three significant themes: books, creativity, and consciousness. In this post, I will share my personal thoughts on the different ways we relate to time through each of these particular topics.
It is important to note that the concept of time I am referring to is not strictly linear but rather dynamic. This means that time is a way or form in which humanity places certain events, which can be related to each other in different ways. With that said, let's begin:
The Past and Books
Books are a form of written memory through which humanity can pass on its thoughts, ideas, and dreams to posterity. In this sense, books are a tribute to the greatness of human beings, as behind every book lies not only a specific context but also a person who has plasmated part of their being through their writing.
From this line of reasoning, we can affirm that years may pass, but books will accompany future generations so that they do not forget certain life lessons. Indeed, let us think of history books; from them, we learn that those who do not learn from their mistakes are inevitably destined to repeat them. We can say many other things about how books keep us connected with the generation that came before us or that allow us to be connected with the generation that will come later, but these lines suffice to express the meaning of my reflection.
Creativity and the Future
The topic of creativity is one that I am passionate about, as it makes me think about how we each have within us a seed that makes us participate in the creative power of God. Just as he created the world and the universe, we too can create a whole world and universe around us. Perhaps this is why I love comics and science fiction movies, because I intuit that there is a lot of that creative power in them. I have to say the same about the various artistic expressions, as they speak to me of all the potential that can be immersed in each human being.
If this is so, we can use creativity to forge the future we want, that is, with the help of our imagination, to start from an idea and create something surprising. In fact, the great creators in various sectors or areas of society have first created what they want in their minds and then brought it to reality. From this point, I can affirm that the future belongs to those of us who let ourselves be carried away by creativity. Not to those who think that since things have always been done in a certain way, they must continue to be done that way, but to those who consider that there may be other ways to carry out an action, those who are creative.
Consciousness and the Present
I have intentionally placed the topic of consciousness with the unit of time that remains to us, the most important one, since while the past is no longer there and the future is uncertain, we only have now and in each moment the present. Precisely, I believe that we can very well use consciousness to live our present in a more effective way. Indeed, who has not had the opportunity to live wonderful experiences but, because their mind is elsewhere, does not get the most out of them? For example, going out with your partner, a moment of conversation with your children, sharing with friends, etc.
In addition to this, the ability to have control over our consciousness is a fact that defines us in our humanity since it allows us not only to know but to have knowledge of how we know and in this process to know ourselves. And as I read once, the power of the mirror, that is, of knowing oneself, is the most important that exists.
