Esta semana pasé dos tardes completas en el taller de arte de mi amigo @majenye trabajando en la encuadernación de uno de sus cómics que fue seleccionado para exponer en Bellas Artes en Maracaibo, estábamos contra el reloj porque el debe enviar la obra, uno de los inconvenientes que se nos presentó es que en el local de impresión cometieron errores así que imprimieron las páginas en la orientación incorrecta y lo hicieron dos veces.
This week I spent two full afternoons in my friend @majenye’s art workshop working on the binding of one of his comics that was selected to be exhibited at Bellas Artes in Maracaibo, we were against the clock because he must send the work, one of the The inconvenience that we encountered is that the printing shop made mistakes so they printed the pages in the wrong orientation and did it twice.
Afortunadamente al ser dos juegos del mismo cómic pudimos recortar y hacer uno solo con las páginas correctas y pegarlas cobre otras hojas que irían cosidas, mi amigo me pidió ayuda para esto así que me encargué de este trabajo, hice los recortes, cosí las páginas, también hice el pegado, prensado, la tapas del libro y finalmente la encuadernación como tal.
Fortunately, since there were two sets of the same comic, we were able to cut out and make one with the correct pages and glue them on other sheets that would be sewn. My friend asked me for help with this, so I took care of this job, I made the cuts, I sewed the pages, I also did the gluing, pressing, the covers of the book and finally the binding itself.
Todo esto tomó más tiempo de lo esperado y no tomé fotografías de cada parte del proceso, sin embargo, la parte final quedaría completamente a cargo de @majenye pues el decidió pintar a mano la portada convirtiendo el libro en si mismo en obra de arte tanto gráfica como pictórica.
All of this took longer than expected and I did not take photographs of each part of the process, however, the final part would be completely in charge of @majenye because he decided to hand paint the cover, turning the book itself into a work of art both graphic as pictorial.
En esos dos días como siempre fue muy grato estar en el taller, disfrutando de la conversación sin dejar de trabajar, además de degustar las deliciosos bebidas, postres y comidas preparadas por @agusepp en el área del café Tasty Love, pues allí funciona el taller, la galería y el café, lo que lo hace un ambiente muy especial.
In those two days, as always, it was very pleasant to be in the workshop, enjoying the conversation without stopping working, in addition to tasting the delicious drinks, desserts and meals prepared by @agusepp in the Tasty Love cafe area, since the workshop operates there , the gallery and the cafe, which makes it a very special atmosphere.
