First things first, for those who did not know, holding liquid EDS tokens in your wallet has some perks.
What is it?
It pays you $HIVE dividends every Monday at the rate of 12% on the total Hive Power of the Eddie-earner account.
EDS are income tokens on Hive's Layer 2 or on the Hive Engine. It is one of the tokens under the SPI umbrella and can be minted by holding miners like EDSM and EDSMM. It can also be bought or sold in the internal market.
The main purpose of EDS is to grow the Hive Power of its account (Eddie-earner), hence, it sells all other tribe tokens into HIVE and powers it up. So each week, 12% of Eddie-earner's total HP is paid out in liquid HIVE to EDS token holders.
Well, this is kinda out of the blue but I just thought it's worth mentioning just in case someone reading this might not know about it.
Anyhow, it's Saturday and it means time to evaluate how we progressed from the previous week with regards to our set goals. Personally, creating long form content was a struggle in the last 7 days but thanks to threading and curating, there is still some growth on my account, particularly on its staked LEO and HIVE.
The earnings chart above shows how inconsistent I was when it comes to regular content creation, lol! Not proud of that. I may have been very unproductive yet my eyes are still set on my goals so that matters too.
And here's how the numbers are playing so far:
Leo Power
- Week 28: 20,760 LP
- Week 29: 20,855 LP
- % Growth: 0.45%
Some 95 LEO was added during the week which isn't bad at all. They are from various sources, re: rewards from my HP delegation to Leo.voter; LEO from curating short and long-form content. And some are micro earnings (author rewards) for my engagement on threads. It's actually nice that we have a variety of ways to earn around here.
I'm quite excited to see how having this Leo Power will benefit me when the Leo Ads protocol rolls out. Not sure when but hopefully sooner. I'm already benefitting from it at present through the curation rewards so it's still good! The ad revenue buybacks and getting shared with Leo Power holders will be a wonderful addition.
Hive Power
- Week 28: 1,745 HP
- Week 29: 1806 HP
- % Growth: 3.49%
There's a nice increase of 61 on my HP inching me closer to the 2k goal. Thanks for being a beneficiary of a Leo Finance post during the week which added to the number despite my inability to create regular posts. Will hope to improve in this regard.
If I were to rate myself for this, it would be a 6 or 7, knowing that I could do even better. But not gonna give myself a hard time for this is an adventure that I intend to continue to enjoy.
