Fungi Campfire Conversation @bambuka 's challenge with prizes is going well, passing week 4; week 5 is open with the topic: "First spring mushrooms". No need for a separate post, just drop your story into comments section and engage with other campers.

not a big news

A pleasure to note that new passive fungi lovers and silent observers arrive. Up to date we are 632 subscribers (next goal is: 666!), 73 active posters, and had 370 interactions last week. Community account reached the total power of 3730 HP (thanks to @bambuka, @keuudeip, @solominer, @qwerrie and @portal-xenna for their delegation). As you know from previous posts, FL is a part of @OCD community incubation program -- check the link for full details. In brief, it means @OCD encourages hiveans to post to dedicated communities by giving back nice upvotes for great posts. (OCD discord channel, for questions or a thank back).

We just kindly ask: go for quality, instead of quantity. No need to spam over the place with low quality posts, that will get you no readers; its pointless and waste of your lifetime.

Imagine, this cultivated mushroom, which hangs around pizzas and other dishes, in the early days appeared as a delicacy in French salons next to caviar and lobsters - @marianomariano educated us about one more edible shroom.

And a little reminder: we have a nice fun challenge at HIVE, hold by @EwkaW: #FungiFriday. I hope many of you will join, as there are only 2 simple rules:

  • when Friday comes, share your fungi with us! post your own, original photo/drawing/art/food/anything-at-all of any type of fungi (yes, stolen images will be checked and reported !)
  • add #fungifriday (not necessarily must be your 1st tag). that's all!
