First off, I would like to wish all Lion a happy leo power up day in arrears, I was not able to participate because of lack of electricity supply. However I made a small contribution to supporting the community by powering up a token to prove my support to the community and a means to show encouragement on the great developments they have been rolling out. Kudos to the team.

In view of all that has been said, a prompt was released that provoked a deep thought on How much money do you need to live comfortably? It is close to the average salary of your country? How easy or difficult is it for you to get to that sum? As a citizen a third world country where development is still somewhat far behind and economic recession is hitting deep, it would be difficult to categorically budget how much is enough and how much won't be. Although, it is evident that the region or location a person is based can have advres effect on a persons income be it urban or rural areas, but somehow, this is no longer the case as everything is on the rise ranging from house rent, education, stationaries and text books, tuition fees, groceries and so on.

The difficulty in living expenses that covers a person lifestyle is one that has been discussed from the 1960s,its really not a new thing that the fight against bad governance has started for years. I remember while we were growing up, there was an artist who was angry at the government and situation of things that he sang a song titled "Nigeria jagajaga". As I remember clearly that song was released over 25 years ago, where he recounted the ordeal of a common man in Nigeria suffering from untold hardship like hike in fuel price, 419 and so on. Fast forward to 2024,untold hardship has tripled and nothing is been done about it.

So, while it is quite difficult to place a certain amount that would cover a person's lifestyle and help to live comfortable, I would say that a minimum of 600,000 to 1 million naira would be ideal for a monthly income. In a case where the individual is a family man or woman, they would have to cater for foodstuffs, electricity bill, cooking gas, fuel for the car, transportation, school fees, subscription and so on. With proper planning, saving and budgeting, this should go a long way to settle the needs.

However, that was just as estimation as it is quite difficult to get a job that can earn you as much as that except you have side hustles to keep you going. Yes, the economy is hard but we can cut down on extravagant lifestyles that finishes our incomes faster. These include : Luxury Living, Frequent Dining Out, impulsive buying, High Entertainment Costs, betting, gambling, Unnecessary Subscriptions, fashion, latest iPhone and so on. So, it is wise to cut your coat according to your size.

This is a part of my entry for the #octoberinleo prompt as organized by the @leogrowth team with great initiative that members of Hive you can participate in this prompt and tackle them as you deem fit. It's #lpud.
