In-depth
Since my last update, we have released major update on eSteem mobile version Android and iOS. Escrow, night/day reading mode, improved slider, better navigation, migration to esteem-lib and more. I will be focusing next few weeks to work on eSteem desktop to catch up with latest mobile developments and have new feature in new/better design, so will be working on this in parallel.
Released esteem-lib, a library that will be maintained by eSteem and will be used by both mobile and desktop app.
eSteem Translation update was posted and rewarded other contributors. Thanks to contributors for their continuous support to join new platform and reviewing, translating new phrases. Note, all reward from translation update posts are going to contributors for their voluntary contribution and time.
Witness
good-karmanode running to latest stable 0.16.3 release. Witness parameters 3% APR, price feed bias -2% discount. Registration fee is 30. Been following discussions about HF17 changes and so far I can say that witnesses have reached consensus on majority of new features. I will leave my opinion here as well for future references.
For 1. Remove Posting Rate Limit
For 2. The comment depth limit has been increased to 255.
For 3. Comments can now be permanently edited.
For 4. Comments are now paid out independent of their discussion.
Neutral 5. All comments are paid out 7 days after creation and there is no longer a 2nd payout
For 5a. [proposed] Add meaningful abuse-mitigation to new 7-day window. Steem issue #900
Neutral 6. There is now a comment reward fund separate from posts.
For 7. All payouts look at the prior 30 days of payouts to determine the share of the reward
Neutral 8. Reward Balance
For 9. Comment Reward Beneficiaries
Neutral 10. Delegated Steem Power
For 11. Accounts can be created with a smaller fee and an initial Steem Power delegation.
Neutral 12. PoW is being removed.
For 13. NTP is disabled by default
