Somewhere In Ghana.
There is no truer statement, ladies make the world a better place for all. One may argue strongly about the significance and importance of ladies in every growing society. Ghana and some parts of Africa have been engulfed with so much poverty hence making life so unbearable for lots of people.
Let us keep ourselves reminded that any lady or girl with an extra year of education is so likely to earn higher more than others as in her lifetime. It is in this regard that steemit as the new face of the internet has in its own exclusively operation brought to the existence of a foundation to support women to gain a better lifestyle. This has been made so possible through the initiative and direction of @faetee who brought into existence on steemit @girlsfoundation to help enlightened and empower ladies in their quest for a better lifestyle.
The Girls foundation is a Nigerian based family which has its extension in places like Ghana and hope to have it instituted in many parts of the world as well. The initiator and leader of @girlsfoundation, @faetee has proven to be an industrious young lady with the such a selfless heart to lead women in our society to bring out the best that every single woman has. And so the creation of this noble family.
Preparation for the Outreach.
Over the past weeks, @faetee has designed for the beneficiaries of @girlsfoundation an amazing package within the areas of operation. That is Ghana and Nigeria. A lot has been done with regard to making the girls look so good but most importantly given them a better and improved education with the power of steem.
This is as a result of the foundation to help curb the struggles that lots ladies go through most particularly girls of school going age. @faetee and @mcsamm have always believed that the existence of girls in our societies to learn and form supportive networks is a better way to enable them to progress for something great for themselves.
Here in Ghana on 20.09.2018, the girlsfoundation made a visit to a community in Ghana called Kyekyewere in the Ashanti region of Ghana. This is where basically materials were arranged to support the girls as school opens. Things got set under the supervision of @faetee to ensure a successful distribution of the prepared materials for the distribution.
It really was a great day that these materials were ready to be given to the girls here in Ghana by the foundation.
Below are the specifics to the prepared materials that @girlsfoundation made to be distributed to the girls in Ghana this week.
- Exercise books - 350pcs
- Notebooks - 150pcs
- Pens - 200
- Mathematical Instruments - 51
- Handkerchief - 20 packs
And so these were the materials that the foundation prepared to offer girls in Ghana today.
The Distribution
A successful distribution of all the above materials happened today by @mcsamm who got assisted by some active steemians in Ghana who were in the person of @anaman and @nattybongo. The school authorities gave a very welcoming message to the guys for the opportunity to be given to the girls in the school. They believe the continuation of such an activity will gradually get a lot of young ladies the need to study hard and get a better education.

Today was really a happy time spent with the girls in Ghana. This is what @girlsfoundation has really proven to offer girls and ladies at large. We are so much hopeful that, the periodic monitoring fn the activities of these ladies would go a long way to provide something great for the society we live in.
The good news that emerged during this very outreach is the fact that @nattybongo who is the leader of @bettervission is making arrangement to make a collaborative project with @girlsfoundation to provide health education on helping young girls to live a healthy life. This will be coupled with free health screening for the girls and the community at large.

We are most grateful and so much happy for the support that the foundation through @faetee has given to girls in Ghana. Thanks also to all the supporters and sponsors who have made this a success. The girls foundation is a project set up to enlighten young ladies of their norms and value, advocate for the girl-child, encourage and support them with the little we can.We believe the girl-child can bring about change in our society. Women are essential to the nation because they take care of its children, the children are the future leaders of the nation, if you are familiar with the bible you must have heard of this verse “train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he won‟t depart from it”.Girls foundation was founded by a group of selfless ladies, it is a non�governmental organization an d believes in decentralization.
VISION:-
- To enlighten youths of their purpose in life. We believe once you know the truth and purpose of your existence you are free, the journey to success and failure now lies in your hands.
- Rape free society- Rape is a sexual assault carried out against a person forcefully. The rate at which girls are being raped these days is alarming, we are also humans and we deserve respect. Most rape victims suffer from trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder, serious injuries and in some cases pregnancy and sexually transmitted infection.
- Fight against domestic violence- it is also known as intimate partner violence, domestic abuse or family violence ; it's a form of violence committed in a domestic or family setting, such as in marriage or cohabitation. It is called intimate partner violence when committed by spouse and called family violence when it involves the kids, parents or elders. Domestic violence has several effects on human that's is why girls foundation is picking it up. Effects of domestic violence
includes :
1.) Physical effect: This involves bruises round the victim, broken wrists, shortness of breath etc.
2.) Mental effect: This involves PTSD (post-traumatic stress),
pressing, drug abuse, suicidal thoughts etc.
3.) Emotional effect: This involves feeling unworthy, hopeless and not motivated etc.
4.)It affects the development of the kids and they suffer from
depression, anxiety, fear etc
Domestic violence always produces an international cycles of
violence. Funny, only few people see themselves as being abused; considering it as family matter. - Girl education: Some people still believe that training a female child is a waste of time and money 'cause they feel she'd still end up in the kitchen, well sorry to disappoint you but ladies can do much more than just being house wives, lots of educated women are doing fine in our society today. Every child deserves equal right to education.We don't think anyone should be treated differently because of their gender, we are all one and it's high time we realized that.
CONCLUSION:-
The primary aim of the girls foundation is to enlighten youths and increase the awareness of the steem blockchain and steemit. Giving girls the ability to create wealth with their writing skills, without waiting for the government intervention.
