Little Ringed Plover at the River Shore

In Spring I enjoy watching birds at t he River Shore of the Danube or the Inn River and when the water levels of the danube after the Power Plant near Linz are low I really love to visit this spot for some bird photography since the little ringed plovers are looking for small insects there at the sandbanks and gravel pits. This is a nice spot to get some closeup pictures of this bird. You just need to be patient and wait for several minutes or hours for the birds to get to know you and know that you are not dangerous for them.

I use an insulation mat for the floor and wait there for some hours to get some nice pictures of these birds in the evening or at sunrise in the morning. These birds are one of the more easy birds to photograph since they often run a bit then stop then run again. During their stops it is easier to get some nice shots of them.
