Date and Time
In most cases especially in our dashboards and summary sheets, we want to have the date today automatically.
Description:
TODAY function in Excel or Google Sheets returns the serial number of today's date.
This returns the date today based on the time and date on your computer. Whenever you open the file or refresh, it will automatically update when the date changes. So tomorrow, it will be February 18, 2023.
We can also use the date that it will return with other functions to create a summary/dashboard that updates its numbers based on current date.
We will explore more on the other functions that would probably use TODAY function.
Function Structure:
=TODAY()
Yes, you see it right. This doesn't need arguments inside the parenthesis (brackets).
As there is no argument inside this function and this is the only way to write it, there will be no examples in this post.
