Happily, joy walked into her soon-to-be fiance who she has dated for the past two years only to be proposed to a few days ago.
She was just returning from her hometown where she went to see her mother inform her about the marriage proposal from Frank.
She had begged her supposed fiance to follow her but he had told her he had an important meeting to attend.
While Katherine who was Joy's friend had told her she was going out and would not come back till the next day.

Joy had no option than to go see her mother alone to inform her about the marriage. Her meeting was indeed a bad omen as Joy's mother bluntly told her daughter that she does not like Frank and wasn't in support of her getting married to him.
Joy was unhappy with her mother's word and just couldn't understand why her mother never like Frank neither did she support their relationship from the beginning, the only man that cared, loved, and made her happy.
After several pleas to her mother and their daughter's mother heart to heart talk, Joy's mother had no option than to accept Frank if only that will make Joy happy.
Joy did not know what awaits her at home as she bid her mom farewell and drove happily to see her soon-to-be fiance.
She came down from her car and brought out the key to the house to open the door since Frank had told her he wouldn't be home but unexpectedly when she tried opening it, she found out the door was already open.
Fear gripped her heart and she opened the door and entered tiptoeing. She could hear voices coming from Frank's bedroom as she got closer.
Fortunately, the bedroom door was left slightly open that she could see whoever was inside without having to open the door.
She just couldn't understand what the person inside her fiance's bedroom was done with so many clothes on the floor, her curiosity got the best of her as she opened the door silently without making a noise and what she saw made tears slide down her face unconsciously.
Her best friend and her fiance on the same bed making out. She couldn't shout as she stood there in silence with tears dripping down her cheek uncontrollably.
Her friend was the first person to see her as she pushed frank away from her body and tries covering her body out of embarrassment. Frank did not understand why Katherine behaved the way she did and as he tried following her gaze, his eyes flashed with guilt when he saw who was in the room with them.
Frank didn't know what to do as he tried looking for his boxers to wear to cover up himself out of guilt. The both of them felt guilty as they started begging her for forgiveness but Joy could not tell why she stood there looking at them with a broken heart and pained eyes and lacked what to say. Pain surge through her heart as she tried to wrap her head around what she has just seen.

She let out a breath she did not realize she has been holding since she came into the room and saw this disgusting sight.
She did not know how long she had stood there looking at her best friend and fiance begging her but when she got back to her senses, she did what her mind told her to do.
She twitched her lip into a smile as she took her finger the diamond engagement ring from Frank had been sitting and threw it at him. With one last look, she left the room and never turned even when she heard the both of them calling her name.
She ran out of the room and into her car without thinking of where to go, she started the engine car and drove off. Joy did not know where she was going but kept driving until she finally came to a halt in front of a building did she realize that she was looking at her home.
Joy's mother saw when her daughter's car came to a halt in front of the house and was wondering why she came back, looking through the window, she realized her daughter was not planning to come out of her car any time soon.
Her mother decided to come to check why she was taking longer than necessary to come out of her car, as she took a slow step towards the car, she could hear her daughter sobbing uncontrollably.
Joy saw her mom coming and ran out of her car to meet her. Running into her mom's arm, she cried out her eyes as she tried to explain to her mom what had happened.
Her mom felt sorry for her daughter as she just did not know what to say other than to let her pour out her heart. Joy felt lighted after crying for long and promised within her heart to make sure Frank and Katherine paid for their betrayal.
